2018 -19 NHL season

Drouin is what he is, great player 1 out of 4 games.
terrified he might get hit. Great in cycle and decent shot.
Scary in own end and very soft passer. Not worth anywhere
near what they pay him, not sure he ever will be.
He needs to play with players that do all the work and he can score.
other wise useless.

MB went out at trade deadline and got 4, 5th line players hoping to get Lucky.
Weil is now on the power play, really why? he has a 54% in face-off circle
otherwise every other career stat over 4 years is ugly.

Montreal needs to win 7 of the remaining games to get in playoffs,
odds are low when you look at least 2 outings.
IMO we have the same problem we have had for last several years
MB and thats bad because Geoff Molson likes him a lot.
This is not likely to get better anytime soon.

The run was fun while it lasted, but in the end the real Montreal Canadians
Showed up. Another bad performance all but puts them out of the playoffs.
For the talk this week about needed to win, not much heart from some key guys.
Julian played the deadline pickups in top positions I guess MB choices were
not the top 6 forwards they needed.

P.S. The person in Montreal who counts shots needs help.
Not sure what real number was but what they showed
In game was inaccurate. On one sequence Montreal got
Credit for 3 shots when Chicago was in Montreals end giving it to them.
On 2 other occasions Announcers and everyone seen
Price make 2 saves but credit for one.

I suspect we will know much sooner than that.
To be realistic Montreal needs to go 8-2-0
They started right with a win, but any less than that they will need serious help in the form
of a slump by Carolina or Blue Jackets. Tall order at this point, but anything is possible.
If they played like they did last night for the next 9 games, I can live with the results regardless.

So far, so good. Canadians beat the Islanders 4-0 last night and the Oilers beat the Blue Jackets, so Habs are back in 2nd Wild card Spot 2 points behind Carolina who have a game in hand.

What did you think of Gallagher losing his temper and dropping the gloves? He is fearless for sure.

Was a Tight game, Habs lose 2-1 in OT and get a point. Columbus won too and are only 2 points behind Canadians who are 3 points behind Carolina. In past week, Habs have picked up 7 out of a possible 8 points.

Only 6 games left and they need to Win the majority of them. They play Panthers, Blue Jackets, Jets, Lightning, Capitals and Leafs.

I think Montreal is in trouble, based on schedules alone.
they needed that win and the next 2, because the last 4 will be tough.
Montreal is going to need serious help from one or both of those teams to hit
skids and lose some games, with softer schedule than Montreal its not good.
At this point they should know you can't play 20 minutes and win.

Yes, tomorrow's game is certainly the Habs most important game of the year. And they are only 1 point behind Carolina, so it is a Win Win Situation.

Leafs beat Panthers on Monday 7-5, and Habs Beat Panthers 6-1 last night, Difference, Carey Price. :FordSmile

You gotta think that at the end of this season one team will be looking back at the game tomorrow night (CBJ and MTL) and thinking that was the game that did it.

Its obvious Montreal needs to win that game.
Its very possible one of these teams will look back and
say the 2 weeks after the trade deadline we sucked.
CBJ have a far easier schedule and a game in hand.

Before Montreal's 4-0-1 run they only won 5 of 17
they created this mess and will likely pay for it.
Montreal needs to play way above average and hope
a few of those final games, those teams rest some players.

Also remember for Montreal, if they get in they are rewarded
with Tampa in the first round, not sure of thats a reward or a punishment LOL.
