I'm proud to be a Bruins fan.
One point dawned on me during game 6.
I started wondering how many Canadian players on each team.
I was surprised by answer.
Bruins = 4 Canadians.
Blues = 19 Canadians. And Steen, listed as Swedish, was born in Winnipeg. Dual citizen.
Like Don Cherry says, you need Canadians to win.
When Bruins won in 2011 they had 11 Canadians.
So good win for all those Canadians on Blues team.
Marchand played poor defense. Bad change led to second goal.
A bad one to give at a bad time.

Hockey is Canada"s Sport.

Monctonian Charlie Bourgeois played for the Blues back in the day. A good Friend of mine grew up in the same neighborhood as Charlie and was good friends with Charlie's younger Brother growing up.

Charlie's Father, Aurelle, was one of the Two Moncton City Policemen Murdered by Hutchinson and Ambrose back in 1974.

Most Canadian players of any NHL team I believe.
was a good game and they earned they win.
Not a fluke goal or a bad call. was a good final series.

Maybe no bad calls, but I at least one missed call on Bozak's slew foot to Acciari in game 5 where non call led to Blues second goal.
Made it 2-0 late in the game.
Make that call and still 1-0 with Bruins on PP late in game.
They did score one after that to make it 2-1.
It was a close game. Good chances on both sides.
That missed call did make difference in game.
Can't say who would have won but totally different ending.

Yes I remember that, seemed in the major sports, refs missed calls
played a big factor this year, Vegas would have lots to say about that as well.
Time for the major sports to step up and get it right.

Aho not coming to Montreal, Canes beat the Habs offer.

I wonder how many 5th and 6th Line Players MB will be able to get now that Aho isn't coming ?

NHL spent 561 million on day one.
NBA spent 3 billion on day one LOL
Me thinks, send your kid to basketball camp.

As expensive as a Seat for an NHL game in the Top Markets are, Basketball has to be way more, cause the Fans pay the Salaries in the end.

True and they are especially court side.
Also only takes 12 to fill out roster and 90%
of that goes to top 5 players.
TV deal is worth 10 ties NHL deal
so it all adds up.
Both of those pale in comparison to the NFL.

Just a few things on some Hab chat sites about Point being offered. Some say it was before the offer to Aho and that Point was the first choice of the Hab but not to be.

As far as Marner goes, haven't heard anything about him at all. But if the Habs are going to continue offer sheets then he would be on the list I'm sure.

I don't think the habs want 11 + million offer sheets, they have the money this year but won't
in 2 years, and with giving up 4 draft picks, hurts the future. why you don't see that many and
especially big offer sheets.

Be interesting to watch what happens still lots of RFA not signed.
These young guys wanna get paid and now.
