What did you do to your mustang today

There is a lot of work, parts to remove to make room to drop the transmission 4” so one bolt can come out holding the shifter to the transmission. The shifter mod is simple if all the parts are machined correctly. I found the quick jacks can also be used as a second and third helper when reinstalling that one piece exhaust system !View attachment 93715
Nice thinking 😁

Would have been nice to put a cat back exhaust

It has the active exhaust so no mods required

There is something you could do.
Resonator delete.
Fairly big suitcase size box under your feet.
Ford Racing makes an X pipe or the Roush H pipe is very popular.

Not enough performance difference to have that discussion.
Choose the one that gives you the sound you prefer.

Save a good 30lbs. of weight and gain an easy 10 hp, possibly a bit more.
Dasilva did several before and after dyno tests on second gen cars, 15 to 17 and the 10hp gain was pretty consistent.

Having that knowledge, they did not do as many gen 3 before and after tests but since the gen 3 is more alive than the gen 2, it’s inferred that you stand to get a bit more gain with a gen 3.

Will it be 12, 13 or 14? Hard to say but there will be a gain.

I installed the Steeda H Pipe and its Hands down the best mod I could have done to the factory active exhaust. That Resonator weight a lot.

I want the resonator delete, grandson keeps saying louder Papa faster Papa, senior management says no 😟

Your post inspired several laughs.

Seriously though, you could do this mod and if “senior management” was not told about it there is very high likelihood that SM would never find out.

It’s not expensive as far as mods go.
Only hundreds of dollars, so it could be explained as maintenance or brakes or the like.

The sound increase on the GT is not as much as on the GT350. The two are totally different animals.
Besides, you control the volume with the valve settings.

Since I already had a loud car, I did not want my 2015 to be loud. So when I did the delete on it, I thought the added sound from the delete would be just enough.
Turns out the res delete alone with the factory mufflers was barely noticeable. I was disappointed with the result.
I added a bit more sound on top of that with Ford Performance touring mufflers.
Only after the added mufflers was I satisfied.

Good combination of sound but not overwhelming. When cruising on highway with windows up, it’s easy to talk or listen to music. And at highway speeds, if windows down, wind noise cancels out exhaust sound.

Note: the Corsa res delete pictured above will not fit the GT.
That is a GT350 specific piece.
The exhaust systems of both cars are not the same and parts are not interchangeable.
