Good thing I'm not buying diecast..... finally got in for the yearly oil change, took almost three weeks before there was an opening.

$65 for a Ford Performance filter, and $14 / L x 10 litres adds up quick, good news though...labour was only $40 .

I know, I know ....... first world problems.

I was surprised when I put the rears on the front, there was no rubbing. The back is squirrely with the 255s on there. After racing for 10 years, I know I can't trust myself to not ball it up. I post some pics of them. Should be on the car today.

Good news, tires are on and no rubbing anywhere. Went from stock size 255 45 to 285 40 on the front. A few pics, showing a slight negative camber. I am going back closer to stock alignment.

Nice, I didn't figure you drove it enough to wear out last set.

It took a few years, the canvas was showing through on the front.

Love the look. Question is will it stay on the tires or fly all over your paint? If it stays shinny like that and doesn’t fly onto your paint I’m in.

Pilot S 4 285 40 18s. These are rated as good as Super Sports. The S5 are more of a comfort spec, Quiter, better in wet. I wanted dry handling as a priorty, that's why I went with S4s.

Thats a wrap for my 2025 driving season.

Which sucks because it's low 20's and sunny for the next week, but it is what it is, October is hit and miss.

Nice day to wash, dry and vacuum though.

Not a bad season, 4300 some odd km.

I finally got new tires put on the 2010. I have had them since March, and the minimal tread left on the tires when I bought it last November contributed to some white knuckle driving during heavy rain on the highway during June’s New Hampshire run.

I have used this guy before - comes to your house, has a tire changer and balancer in a trailer, along with a lot of other gear, and is a certified mechanic. Will also do oil changes and other work at your residence or work place.

I removed and reinstalled the wheels, he put the new tires and TPMS on, and balanced the tires and programmed the TPMS. Finally, no tire pressure warning on startup, (due to a dead TPMS) battery.

Reasonably priced, efficient, competent, pleasant to deal with, and your car does not have to leave the garage - what more could you ask for?

There are certainly better tires available, but from the research that I have done, I think the Firestone 500 is a decent tire for the price, considering all factors. One of the other members from PEI put them on his car in the Spring, and put a lot of miles on them, including the New Hampshire run, and is very happy with them. I will let them get worn in a bit before pushing them.

Mustangs have been washed, battery tenders hooked up, covered, and parked for the season. Key fobs secured in a Faraday box so they cannot be remotely cloned.

I had not kept track of the mileage, and was surprised how close the distance travelled was between the two cars since being put on the road in April

2010 - 3775 kms, now at 113,006
2024 - 3839 kms, now at 13,199

Looking forward to new season.

Got a recall notice, likely of no concern seeing as the car barely sees rain, and no snow or salt whatsoever.

likely no more drives this year.
Currently changing tires and cleaning everything underneath.
