I see it in the pic , but think it's just the camera/ lighting causing it to look like that... will see what the expert says when he comes over.. I was thinking of replacing cam phasers also.. mustang just turned 180k

I’ve got mine apart for the phasers , chains adjusters and guides - hope to have the front cover off tonight - don’t get much done after supper these days I’m at 250k

Maybe should have saved this for Wheel Wednesday ??
Got the fronts off, washed up and ceramic coated on both sides.
Good opportunity to torque the lugs and check the inside shoulders of the tires for wear.
All cleaned up and ceramic coated.
Also checked my brakes.....
For having 38,500km, I'm pleased with what's left in the pads and rotors, considering I'm still running the factory original brakes.

Detailed engine , installed dress up kit and installed MCP caliper covers had another hour and touched up the ceramic cote on car and rims

Got tired of running out, so I bought a gallon of wheel cleaner off Sonax Canada.
Pretty quick turnaround, ordered on Saturday and arrived today.
Cheaper in bulk than the spray bottles, and because it was available, I decided to try the upscale "Plus" version.
The whole "Optimal Colour Change Technology" tagline is a bit gimmicky though.
I could GAF if it changes colour, as long as it works as good as the regular Sonax. (which does turn from green to red as it hits the wheel incidentally)

Finally got a decent sunshade..... Weathertech makes it, and like the Weathertech mats, each one is specific to the car/truck.
Really like the fit, covers the whole windshield, stays in place without the visors down, and is pretty well built.
Got one for the truck too, so I was sure that it was pretty effective at reflecting the heat and keeping interior temps down.

Interesting side note to sunshades.
A couple of the major tint manufactures have created
ceramic tint, which is more costly but certain types repel heat in the ranges of 90 to 95 %
In texas and some of the hotter southern states,
people are applying this at 70% to thier front windows, for the UV protection
Upwards of 98% and for hit reduction in cars. Now something I knew but learned more
the average window tint from factories is in the 70-75 marker point
So using a 75% ceramic tint does not change the actually look.
We have not applied this to a front window yet, but have had questions about it
and I beleive it will become more common place. This would eliminate the need for these shades
and or parking so sun is not facing directly into the car.
