The Bruins - Caps series is broadcast by NBC sports and they are not biased.
Pretty good coverage actually.

As for regular season, I’ve said it before, Nesn has no other team in their entire service area so they are the de facto house announcers or home team network.

Of course they will be biased for the only team they cover.
Business wise, probably a good way for them to maintain subscribers in their service area.

They are not a National network and don’t have 3 or 4 teams in their coverage area.
Comparing them to TSN, CBC or SN does not do justice to their unique situation.

Especially with the segregated conferences this past year, they are broadcasting to New Englanders. So they will cater their content to that audience.
They don’t go on air each night thinking, we need to watch what we say as to not offend Montreal fans.
They are not even broadcasting to Canadians.
It’s SN that picks up their feed to show us Bruins games.

The owner of any given TV can chose for him or herself to watch or tune to something else.

Actually I have watched NEsn broadcast and they are bias, but not as much as our national networks.
I watched most of Bruins - Caps series, really good hockey and NBC has done a pretty good job.
Its what real fans want, tell it as it is, don't feed us crap, most fans know the game and know the crap.

Go look at last 2 days, hard find a storey about what Montreal did or should do tonight, you can find 20
what happened to Toronto, what they can and will do tonight, its sad that these are national networks.
I realize Experts maybe fans, but there job is to report both sides. This is true against any teams leafs play.

We need a true national sports broadcaster in Canada.

You my friend, are a victim of being a Montreal fan but not being fluent in french.

If you brushed up on french enough to watch and follow RDS, you would have more arm chair experts, strategies, better coaching advice and conspiracy theories about the Habs that you would know what to do with. LOL

I agree they are very biased and deserving of some objective criticism.
But their unwavering enthusiasm and passion for their “Glorieux” team is something to appreciate from a fan aspect.
The word fan, after all, is an abbreviation of the word fanatic. ???
 
Well game is on in couple hours, I have found few shots of whisky
makes me enjoy the game and ignore the idiots talking or refs lol
thank god its only TO thats the problem, could turn me into a drunk LOL

And the Commentators on Sportsnet said Leafs Won cause they played well

Easy to Win when Your Teams Penalties don’t get called and you get 16 minutes of 5 on 4 PP minutes in a 60 minute game ??

Last 2 games refs called 11 against habs, 2 against leafs.
over the glass are autos, so not refs calls.
We all know reffing is bad, but raely this lopsided.
Hard to win when its 5 on 7 for 60 minutes.
 
My son watched as I was savouring a wobbly pop on the deck last night.

I took in a few minutes while in for a refill.
Yah, I listened carefully and all the SN announcers talked about was Toronto.
Like there was only one team on the ice.
It’s bad. Completely biased.

Refs were marginally better, but habs werent'
Both teams tentative in first, slight edge to leafs.
All leafs 2nd and all Habs 3rd, TO having better shots on net
and if not for price, score could have been ugly.
Hopefully Habs win tonight or could be over quick.


Pens in Trouble giving up game last night, now down 2-3 to Islanders
I can't beleive Oilers went out in 4 straight, I never exected it to be Oilers sweep
but never dreamed Jets would win in 4 either, expected a tough, long series.

Vegas and Tampa fooling around could bite them, don't give any team momentum.
Never thought Nashville would give canes this much of a fight, but tied 2-2
Boston took out caps easier than I thought it would be, after 1st two games
I expected that one to be a long one.

Some great games so far, hopefully more to come. GHG
 
Take away refing and other issues, Montreal's biggest problme is themselves
mostly managment and coaching, poorly put together roster, poor use of what they have
and sytems that don't work with players they got, its all but over.

So now what, 10 years into 5 year rebuild, to me its simple. Unless Geoff Molson
makes massive changes, then rinse and repeat and habs fans can suffer for years
to come.
 
Well its obvious MB and DD are doing thier best to lose,
beginning to wonder who pays them lol.

Looks like NHL has spoken, they have pencilled in
Winnipeg and Toronto for sat night lol.
