Crazy Weather events in your area

Yes, one thing I remember from my years in the RCMP is the amount of idiots that would be out on the Road after we had announced on radio that we recommended that everyone stay off road, they would go out anyway, get stuck and expect us to go rescue them. My response would be” lock up Vehicle, and walk home, cause if you’re stuck, how the Hell are we going to get to you” ? The best one was after dealing with that all day, finally get home for the night after supper and get a call from my busy body neighbour asking me to go check on a couple that had gotten as far as the Chevrolet Dealership Down the street. I gave her the 1-800 number, I think it was 1-800-EAT-SHIT ?

Was a little slippery in the country after the freezing rain and freeze. Youd think some people would know by now having a descent set of winter tires is a must around here!

well 1st event of week over last night, snow, rain, slush and salt.

Next one tonight, 5-10cm, then freezing rain, then another 5cm to help the morning commuters in morning.
going to be a long night.

then they are saying another one thursday, not much on details yet.

90 ton of salt in last 8 days, crazy salt year I am well over 300 ton, which is almost
all I used last year and still 6 weeks left, if lucky.

Double whammy last night, one came, got cleaned up and then the next came.
Not to bad, except long day, sun and plus 2 help clear it up quick this morning.

Tomorrow new day, new storm. so far forecast
1- 10-15 cm
2- 5cm
3- 7-12 cm.

time line 8am to 8 pm

My guess is odds are on of those is right :ROFLMAO:

apparently math was not your strong suit.
5 am to 1 pm and then 4pm to 11:30 am ahh next day for the challenged,
4;30 pm to 8;30 pm, same day, hmmm
lets see in 40 hours I worked, 31.5 hours

that's pretty much your work week lol.

close to zero today, going to get very cold, very fast tonight.
and next few days deep freeze.
-13 tonight, -8 tomorrow

Home....I hope....
5-10cm forecast for central & east, less in the west.
9.6cm on Monday threw a wrench in the gears trying to fly out of Ch,town. Hoping the flight from Mtl to Ch'town doesn't repeat the incoming flight from Monday. Aborted landing due to visibility, diversion to Deer Lake to refuel, back for another attempt at chtown which aborted the 2nd time before returning to Mtl.

11:00 am flight finally cancelled at 4:00pm. I had none of that foolishness....rebooked for Tues and walked away after the first failed landing...Groundhog Day!

likely fast scrap and heavy salt tonight before deep freeze
 
Spent the last 2 hrs watching the snow removal program at YUL Montreal.... quite the dance of equipment around the gates, on the apron and runways.... ML Lounge full with people sitting on the floor! "Time to spare...travel by air..."!!
 
Fast scrapped some, but with mild temps, most melted with a salt.
Did a heavy salt last night, hoping to keep it wet,
Planned to go early and salt again, so not icy,
another cm dropped and stuck as its now -8
not sure how much salt this is going to take.

But deep freeze til sunday, so once I get this done,
might get a day or tow off :)
 
I came home to sleep this morning at 8 am, and 5 minutes at home got a call, dump truck
not shifting :rolleyes: So off to fix, that then another call and so on, so I finally get home now.
going to eat lunch and have to go fix something else. by then I will need to go salt, hmmmm
I am think I don't like this stuff anymore.
