Atlantic Nationals 2016

We will schedule some time to look when I'm up the weekend of the 18th Charlie. Perhaps the Friday night?? Hopefully we don't have to make a decision before then. I'm not sure where the new spot is but seems like it might be a bit out of the way. I like the old location but if it's gonna be a dust/mud pit then maybe not. We shall see. Either way it's Nats and it's a weekend I look forward to every year no matter where I am in the park :)
 




Nice location,a bit out of the way but if it is exclusive thats fair.

They now need to direct all Mustangs to that area to achieve their new vs old car show theme,no exceptions.

If you look close there is a gate accessing St.George,ask if that will be useable Charlie,otherwise Trevor and others will have clearance issues,I bottomed out bad leaving the park up ther one year,the sidewalk is like a giant speedbump.

Hey Lorne what's up man?? Have to get together with you when I head up to NB and chat about locations. Is that where it is? Right on the street? Some good exposure in that spot.

I wondered if this might be a good spot to get now considering the possible format change they are talking about. If they go separate new and old then we will be up on that side somewhere so maybe better to lock it up now? Just a thought ?

All good Jason,I am sure that is the location they offered Steve as well,it is definitely where the caretaker's home was.

Not wanting to threadjack,but been playin Chev lately,installed a 6 speed in my wagon with 4:56 gears,drove it Yesterday for the first time,what a cool feeling to launch such a heavy car yet see it drop to 2 grand in 6th at 80 plus m.p.h.


 
Gotta start planning a route and place to stop for the Friday night run. Last year worked out great and it was an awesome time. Perhaps an NBer can work on that portion? I will be up next weekend so can add my two cents worth or whatever you need lol. Hopefully figure out a location for the cars as well ?

Awesome Lorne. A 9C1 Impala SS Wagon Clone with a 6 Speed and 4;56 Gears, now that has to be pretty rare. Do you know of any others like among the US based Club you belong too ?
 
Cool Lorne. How have you been Thanks for posting that. Just noticed it.

An update for everyone. I had a couple of meetings with Bill and the last one was Tuesday of this week. I also went and checked the location out he suggested and it is not a big area and will not store as many cars as we would like for sure. There is also a culvert issue that would need to be fixed and they are running out of time.I asked if they would let us use that gate and he said the city did not want it opened I strongly believe with what we are trying to achieve we need to stick to the same location we have again this year. We do not want anyone ripping any bumpers or exhaust off. . So in the end we agreed we keep it as is for this year again. The field will probably be smaller because of the repair that has been done but my not be ready. Iknow some people do not like the field but it still is the better option and in my opinion the dust level is better there as well. Bill has been fantastic trough this whole thing and they are all looking forward to us being there again. He says that all of us help them out because we help them park some cars. He likes what we have done and appreciates all are support. Anyone looking to give a helping hand that has not offered yet please let me know. We will work out some type of schedule.

As for the Friday night cruise, I will be working on that very shortly and will get some feedback.

So did a run today with the stang while visiting with both our dad's. Had lunch with my parents and brothers in bouctouche and came back on the coast line. The roads were pretty good and I think it could be a potential Friday night run for the nationals weekend. What you guys think?
Did it last year with 4 or 5 stangs as well. Fred, Max and his dad and a couple other guys were there. A couple of warfes along the way for some possible photo opps. The food is a concern though if we want to eat on the run somewere. There was a spot called daiqueries but it looks like they have moved it to Bouctouche as I saw one there. Maybe there is a second one. Still thinking on this.

I would like to switch up the route a little this year. Any ideas guys?
 
Charlie, we are up for whatever you put together.
Doesn't matter what you do, someone won't be happy.

Alright so working on the final details for our Friday night cruise route. Also Just called a couple of restaurants so I am still working out the meal details so stay tuned. The plan is to meet at the nationals registration location at the Wesleyan church again this year. The Wesleyan church is located at 945 St George Blvd moncton We would like to be on the road for 5:15 to enjoy the run in the daylight with the meal stop.

Any type of car is welcome. The more the merier. Let's start a list to see how many I need to reserve for. I will revise as I get the names.
