2016-17 NHL hockey season.

Hab lost to the Islanders last night 3 to 1. it was one of the worst games I seen them play this year.
Except for price, one good thing, the last two games price, looks like back to normal.
I hope the break does these guys some good, I suspect the had already checked out mentally.

Ya, the Habs looked like they were trying to catch up to them all night. The All Star Weekend should be Fun to Watch. I really enjoyed it last year. Here's how League standings look: 1. Washington 72 Points 2. Minnesota 69 Points 3. Columbus 68 Points 4. Pittsburgh 65 Points 5. Montreal 65 Points (have played 2 more games than the Penguins.

After 2 periods of play it's Habs 4, Sabres 0.

Patch has 2 goals, Deharnais and Byron 1 each. Markov has a Point too.

Good first game back for Markov and Deharnais.

When was the last time the Habs led a game 4-0 ?

Not since Markov, Deharnais and Galchenyuk last played.

Galchenyuk is expected back this weekend.

I watched game and Habs just stopped playing with 8 minutes left.
At the point they were truly dominating the game and bang, they stopped.
90% of the last 8 minutes were in Montreals zone.
They should be ashamed of their performance.
Both teams had mediocre first and Price made some great saves to keep them
in it and when its wrapped up, they quit on him,
Team should know better, coach should have recognized it and done something.

Price is now
6th in win %
11th in goals against
9 th Save %
Among goalies

So is Price slipping or is the team that poor?
We are 50 games in, so should give us a good indication.

Habs are 5th in League Standings and have a 9 Point Lead in the Atlantic Division over Ottawa and Boston.

So All is Not Lost.

I check the Standings every few days. If one of Trevor's Posts about the Habs gets me down, I check the Standings and it Cheers me right up.

I know where the habs are in standings. I watch a lot of hockey.
I likely have seen 48 of the habs games so far and listen too one or to on radio.
A few years back, when habs didn't have much of a team, I would get frustrated.
but understood what it was. Now I think they are close and MB does so little.
They might have to trade Beaulieu, because they can't afford him.
Gally is do for a big raise, Radulov gets good money, like will want a fair bit more.
Price is 2 years away from next contract. The window is not based on age alone.
Unfortunately its based on money to.

Plecs at 6 mil, DD @ 3.5 even BG @ 3.7 forever is going to bite them.
