Thought of the day.

Saturday AM will be a garbage run, should be back before noon. Call and I’ll turn the heat up and get the best chairs out for company.

Wind is just starting to swirl a bit here. Looking like a snow rain snow event, but who knows. Time to take down the Christmas lights. NSP is expecting 250,000 with out power. First time in their history they have readied for a cat 4 preparation plan. My son is on stand by in Truro for storm duty.

I have the geny ready and fueled, I hope it does not have to run for more than 32 hours or I will be on a hunt for fuel.

Hunker down and play safe everyone!

Power is already out in Burnside, went out 11ish and wasn't that windy yet.
So expect the worse. me I am good, for few days. before I need anything.
Likely working tomorrow am, salt at the least.

At the coast here in HRM there has been very little snow. All rain now. Winds though are expected to build all day long.
How are things else where, NB PEI?

French news says you guys have close to 400 Quebec Power workers either on site or on their way to Nova Scotia to lend a hand, hopefully it won't be that bad that they are needed but nice to hear that they are available.

It's been snowing up here pretty much steady for 3-4 hours with no real winds picking up yet. Expecting 30 plus cm on top of what we already have on the ground. It's been a snow filled December with way below temps so in other words we are having a real winter !! Just ordered a Generator at end of December (not in yet) and had transfer switch installed but hopefully won't be needed (peace of mind to have though).

Snow pretty much over in Charlottetown but winds increasing. Had transformer arching across the Sherry and crew already on site to trim trees. Generator ready if power goes out before the hockey game.

+3deg -Wind and rain here so far. It was garbage day , had to swerve and dodge the blowing Christmas trees in the subdivision , garbage cans are rolling in the streets. My garbage cans are tucked away after rescuing them from the ditch. And it’s not windy yet!

winds were up, now not bad, power was out for about 90 minutes now back on.
not even raining at the moment, but the worse is suppose to be around 11-2 am.
we will see, not over till morning.

Winds are up and now snowing hard, can't see crap outside, not even my neighbors....Heard the fire crews are out to a blaze on outskirts of town and hwy 134 (road we took between Dalhousie and Campbellton during fall cruise a few years ago) is closed due to fire, hope everyone is safe !! No power outages yet but news says 90 000 off grid in Nova Scotia....ouch !!

yup calm here at the moment, but the worst is yet to come.
hopefully nothing to severe. Hoping to see Canada game LOL.
1st world problems. for me at least not snow, so not trying
to plow it and in this wind it would be crazy. still no snow here.

Hope you guy's are all safe, and stay warm..All the news is talking about the big storm.. Get the pony's in the garage..or...
