Thought of the day.

Truck isn't great as a daily driver....gas is $$$. Only gets used for carrying stuff on occasion and going back and forth to work. So question is, what do I trade it in for? That is my dilemma. Plus I have car a.d.d so I hardly ever keep my daily more than 3 years at the very most.

You have to decide how much you use the truck and equally important, how much of pain it would be if you didn't have one?
Then how much you like truck over car and what is the real savings, if any. Only you can answer this.
I do know want cost way more than need :)

A good compromise would be a Mid sized SUV like a Honda CRV , Mazda CX5 or Toyota Rav 4 teamed up with a good utility trailer.

My youngest Son in Newfoundland just traded in his 2014 Focus for a New Mazda CX5 GT exactly like this one.

The Dealership in Cornerbrook is getting it Shipped from St. John's and he should have it in 2 weeks.

Come on Fred, if you're going to plug SUV's, at least keep it in the family. Plug the Escape, Edge, Explorer, even the Flex!
For those reading, Fred and I go way back.. and he knows why I'm saying this.
Like the man said; "You can get it any color you want, so long as it's black". Henry Ford

I agree with 92LX302 bellow.
However, if you are at all considering a car, look at the 2017 Fusion Sport, Due in dealerships mid September.
2.7L V6 Ecoboost, all wheel drive, and best of all, as standard equipment, magnetorheological dampers for out of this world handling. These are the same technology that Trevor has on his Shelby, and were optional on the 2016 base GT350's as part of the optional track pack. The dampers are going to be standard fare on all 2017 GT350's.
I digress and leave you with this parting gem, at least with the Fusion Sport, you'll have a great sport sedan approaching the price of a truck. Cheers.

Mazda has the best warranty unlimited kilometer 3 year basic and Unlimited 5 year PT. They use a non turbo engine unlike the escape. Less potential trouble down the road. My son traded his 14 Focus SE that had 70,000 kms. Already one recall on the transmission and still not working the way it should. The Dealer in Cornerbrook is waiting on parts for the fix for 50 of their customers cars including my Son's. Parts are back order. And I have replaced parts on my F-150 and Taurus that I never had to with other cars I owned in the past with twice the mileage. I would buy another Mustang or F-150 , but nothing else. And I have no plans on replacing the Mustang or Truck anytime soon.

Just because I own 3 Ford Products doesn't mean I'd buy another one. I know better know. :FordSmile

I suspect the sport fusion will be in the Mid 40's or higher, rumour is it will have 325HP also.

Guess its all a choice, Ford has come along way in the last 10 years with the smaller car/suv lines and in most
places match the others or better. Its all choice, Personally mazda does nothing for me.
If I were switching cars it would be the Audi A4-S
SUV not sure, for the money I like the edge sport, Mercedes makes many decent price mid size units.
Guess maybe I am true blue, which makes me somewhat bias.

Most Brands are Good as long as you trade them every 4 or 5 years. I tend to keep mine longer. That's when you get into the increased maintenance and repair costs. But it is still cheaper than always having a car payment.

Gave the guys an extra long weekend, but I didn't take one, I am beginning to think I might be doing this
wrong :( Hope weather changes again for Monday. Maybe take a spin to Digby for bike rally.
