Nice groomer. Years ago they used to make the ski tracks as well. Do they not do that anymore and just give a flat surface??

Ho yes they set the ski tracks.
Look closely at second picture.
One track pan is up at 90 degree angle to snow.
The other side's pan is folded in closer to the tiller.
There are two track pans or track setters. One on each side.
They are hydraulically operated. Can set either side or both or none.
When grooming for ski skating, like you see on TV during Olympics, no tracks required.
Skate of flat surface.
They are up on this shot because just entering trail head from parking lot.
Did not want track pan dragging in the lot.

Hard friggin' times this week. First on Tuesday one co-worker was involved in pretty nasty car crash, he's back home now but pretty banged up. Off to Newfoundland for work for a couple of weeks , Corner Brook and Saint Johns - any Mustang folks needing an excuse to drink coffe and talk about Mustangs ?

Enjoy your trip and hopefully this week is last of nasty ones.
Hopefully we can turn the corner to spring.

Ok the down side to my work is hours are a little irregular.
I woke up yesterday at 5am and It was Saturday.
I went about getting everything ready for the storm normal stuff.
Had a nap in afternoon for about an hour, then sorta keep an eye on
weather, get everyone in and we're all working between 8- 10 Pm. ( Still Saturday)
I work all night everyone gets work done, I check everything then we all go home.
Now its Sunday, I go to sleep at 10:30 am Sunday, someone woke me up at 2:30
Deal with that, Back to bed at 3:00 up at 4:00 and get ready to go salt.
Its morning right, ah NO. Its Monday right Ah No Its still Sunday,

I will not know what day it is now for most of the week LOL.

Roger, my grandfather always said to take advantage of the opportunities you have 'cause when you're dead, you're dead for a long time. Never really knew what he meant until my uncle...his only son, died of an aneurysm at 45. My Dad had a health scare recently at 80. His comeback was that he has alot of friends who aren't having birthdays anymore, so he counts himself as fortunate. You just never know....

Stressful Work Environment is definitely a contributing Factor.

My sympathies Roger, to you and your co-workers.
Stressful work environment for sure.
And you guys always under the same roof and depending on each other to watch your backs, you must be like a big family.

Welcome to the world of first responders who get called back out after only an short sleep at end of evening or night shift, during early morning so called "silent hours", and then have to stay up to work the whole following day.
There's a few on this forum who used to do this in a previous career and a few that are doing it now in current career.
