Thought of the day.

Meeting up with Jason in the am to pass over the 3 pc spoiler. Then getting out of here for 3 weeks South. Golf, some touring around, some cruising in the prancing horse and a Friday nite or two at the muscle car cruise in at Old Town Kissimmee. Was a nice sunny day today and an easy ride to Halifax. Let's get this winter crappie over with and get the cars primed for a season of cruising. Already thinking about the Friday evening tours at the end of a long week, with a stop for a good meal. A good dose of anti-depressant :FordSmile

Enjoy the trip - try and pack some sun and warm weather to spread around the Maritime when you return

I am jealous, wish I could be in Florida :) Enjoy the trip.
At least spring is coming and looks like our spring run will be epic.
Fall run is shaping up nicely also. Great to see this much interest early :)

Tks if I see anything interesting on the road or in the lot I'll post up pics. Try to encourage winter to throw in the towel while we're away!

If you get in the air, take a few pics and post, that would be very cool for sure.

Looks like another mess going tonight. Not sure about rest of Maritimes,
but snow followed by freezing rain and then rain. Should have it cleaned up before morning commute.

Just calling for 40 to 60 cm up here with gusts of up to 80 km and by the looks of it outside I would say we are well on our way........again. On the bright side things are suppose to end by Wednesday at noon ?? lol

Got out of bed this morning and jumped on the tractor to clear the driveway. This is the first "tractor" I've ever owned but I've been fascinated by them my entire life. Even now, if there's road construction in my neighbourhood I'll take time to just stop and watch. Love tractors. I was able to pick up this 2009 Cub Cadet sc2400 in the fall right around when we bought our new house. For anyone not familiar, these tractors were made (and are still made) by Yanmar, and they put out this Cub Cadet model for a few years. It's very similar to any sub-compact tractor you'll get from Kubota, John Deere, etc.

Anyway, I learned this winter that every man needs a tractor. I can't believe the peace of mind I get from clearing the yard.

Also: How lucky are we all to have spouses/partners who understand us and let us get the tools we need (toys we want)???

Did u get new tractor Roger

As a matter of fact yep. Pulled the trigger on this thing about 2 weeks ago and was waiting for the snowblower to come in and get installed which was done this morning. Now it's sitting in Salisbury waiting for a way to come up, I'm working, they are crazy busy so we just have to work it out ?? 2015 Kubota with only 180 hrs and brand new snowblower so should be good for awhile.

Congrats Phil, nice rig !!!
Yanmar makes most of the engines for compact tractors including John Deere which surprised me. By what I can tell after studying them things for the past few months they are very tough engines and work very well. You should have that for a long time. Kubota is the only one that I can see who makes their own engines.
Here ya on the spouse thing, Sally must have gotten fed up of hearing me bitch so she pushed me very hard to get this tractor.
I wanted to trade the Stang but think with the winters we've been getting lately that this isn't so much of a bad deal, getting old and shoveling isn't getting easier !! lol

Nice tools ( Toys ) guys I like the cab and heated one myself.
Mind you I hate the cold. Yanmar is now the engines in the bobcat machines.
used to have Kubota's all very close to the same. I guess I am lucky in a sense.
I have plows, bobcat and a loader if required, we don't get anywhere near the snow you guy's get.

You new tractor owners are gonna need to get one of those excavator attachments in the spring. Boys with toys love to dig holes! Would be pretty cool to see one in action. I've been tempted to rent a mini excavator for a weekend just to play. Maybe dig a hole for a swimming pool or just go make holes. Then play with a trencher. I've got a building about 75' from the house I'm thinking about running buried cable to. One of those would do a great job. A trailer hitch on your Mustangs, grab a trailer and come play on our Island. I'll pay the gas & bridge toll:rolleyes:
