Road to buidling a 1990 Foxbody LX

I bought the car above, so I now have my donor engine and transmission
wiring harness and computer. Also came across 9" Ford rear end out of
older lincoln and grabed that, so drive train taken car of.
Sadly only a gen one, so may have to performance upgrades right from the get go. :ROFLMAO:

I already know I am doing long tubes and custom exhaust
so cold air setup and tune should give me a nice boost in HP to start.

Likely go with stronger axles and Ford Performance 373 gears.
So that should be good set up. I think currently 355's in 9" now.

Will upgrade clutch while all apart, I realy like McLeod clutches so we will see.
Had prostreet in my 08

Aaron you now being retired and former Gov employee all day has different meaning to us working folks LOL.
Not 100% sold, 10k for engine and harness, no response if he is including computer, which would be important.
Trans is high for that car at 4k. plus shipping, in the 14-15 k range plus shipping, for something I don't need for a year
or two. Also I have been working on another deal, which if happened way cooler and will shock the masses at far better price :)

If not I have 2 years still, soo waitiing on response.

noticed in small print pending sale on engine, maybe why he didn't respond, we will see.

Slow and steady wins the Race Trevor ?

First gen or not, it’s still a Coyote and lots can be done to those.
Boost friendly for later on too.
But in that light chassis, and all you are planning with bolt ons, 450 - 460 plus hp and the gears should move that puppy along pretty good.
And N/A gives you reliability and repeatability in hot temperatures.
I have no doubt it’s going to be a nice car.

I would have no reservations in going with the 8.8.
In fact, that’s the way I would go.
All the modern and readily available gear sets are for the 8.8.
The 9 inch got its reputation back in the day when the competition’s were smaller and not as sturdy, but 8.8 is barely smaller than 9.
All the modern stuff runs the 8.8.
Even the supercharged Shelbys.
