Road to buidling a 1990 Foxbody LX

Problem is you haven't spent any yet. Still sitting ready to grab that K member for a month now!
Really, I have bought the car, I am now spending a pile of money on garage that I secured for
at least 4 years, which before was year by year. ( place to do work)
Now I have to spend several thousands on making it suitable for more than storage.

Then I can start car. Considering I am now working 70 + hours a week and that will only go
up in next couple of weeks, not much would get done in spring anyway.

If I can have stripped, soda blasted, epoxy primed by fall, I am on schedule. :)

I have had slight in garage renos' ( out of y control)
So trying to figure out, if I start and move everything or wait.
Will know more before week is over, but slows down tear down of car.

Also if proper set of work areas and bringing tools to leave in shop.

Next step is stud wall, insulate and plywood one side and gyroc other side.
Bit of wiring first, so getting underway,
Also need to replace one garage door and man door, fix some siding and new fasciae and gutters.

Project is coming, hopefully won't be long car is new home for tear down soon.

Update, progress is underway with upgrades to new shop/ home for
Mustang, I am so busy with work, have not even been there in over a week.
Excavator is heading there tomorrow to get some out side work done.

Hopefully be able to get car in one side, so work on other side can start.
Hopefully I will have time to get at car and start stripping it.

Starting to drive myself nuts.
Figureing out build is tricky.
But to save BS and wrong parts.
I am trying to figure out, exactly what I want.

Then figureing out what parts work best together.
sounds easy and is when stock.
But when you start modifying car, it can get quite involved.

Suspension, need to work with hubs, brakes and size of wheels.
Suspension needs to work with engine choice,
headers, exhaust needs to work with engine choice.

Steering, coolers, rearend, transmission needs to work with engine.
Body needs to fit wheels. Hood needs to fit engine.
Going away away from stock fuel tank, to fuel cell.

driveshaft, rearend, gears, clutch,
oh and inside, lets see roll bar, new seat belts, likely 4 point harness
seats, rear delete, interior.
waring harness, pedals, gauges,
do I want air, radio???
the list grows lol.

I read two hours today and i think I am futher behind then when I started.

Big binder, many tabs for research prints .
summary sheet And index for each section Don’t forget the “where I found it “?
notes , Lots of notes
then a compare page - does ‘it’s actually work with the rest ?

sounds like lots of planning but it will all be worth it in the end
