I found a bit about the 100 years of Ford Mustang edition , just like the model T, only in black! And was a $995.00 option.

That much is correct, but it is also an unusual colour combo black car, black roof, two tone tan interior.
plus the Ford 100 logos on the outside and embroidered into the seats.
plus it came with some nice Centennial memorabilia.

Number produced 1,323 convertibles and 717 coupes - each dealer in NA got one car.
