Maritime mini runs.

We had a very nice run today before the rain comes tomorrow. Left Digby for the Noel Shore between Windsor and Truro. Old roads only except for a small section between Wolfville and Windsor.

Along the way we found a Ford truck being restored. Figured I would just post it here.

Once we got to the Walton lighthouse there was no wind at all and 26 beautiful degrees. There is a NS web cam of the lighthouse. Great sunsets there in the snapshots. Just not today.

Last stop was in Kennetcook which I usually bypass when traveling from Windsor to Truro via the Rawdon Hills. First time there. Nice little place. The Rawdon hills are an awesome fall run if you are in the area early to mid October.

Kennetcook across from what appears to be a farming museum .

And a bonus pick at the lighthouse. Still playing with the crystal ball. Carol Ann says Hi! We will miss the run next week as we will already be in PEI.

Looks like the perfect thing to do after a long hot day?...i also had the same idea after i took some of the PEI crew for 4 hour cruise along Kingston Peninsula, Belleisle bay, and the St John river, while crossing 5 cable Ferry's . I Relaxed by a fire with some tunes, a few drinks, and my pup.. mosquitos were pretty bad so did it in the gazebo ..

Got out for a small test run of next week's route to Nova Scotia. Roads were pretty good then had a nice meal at Fred's in Cap pelé. Sorry forgot to stop and take pictures so no proof lol.

Got out for a few km this weekend.Saturday evening took us from Enfield - Fall River- Old Waverly Road to Dartmouth, then to Eastern Passage, Sunday AM,Enfield to Trevor’s shop to interrupt his cleaning plans , and Sunday afternoon a trip to Tantallon, Bayswater, Chester and Mahone Bay via the back roads - home via TCH. Be careful in work area‘s , many people don‘t slow down and almost run over those who do - and people have forgotten that merge and yield signs are not the same ! 500+ km , but almost rear ended twice by camper towing vehicles , and came upon a motorcycle / car altercation that brought the 80 km traffic to 5 km/ h instantly . Looks like no one badly injured- the bike took a slide I think - not looking so lucky.

I did about 350 km today.
Did my old favorite stand by.
Highway 17 to Campbellton and back.
Love that stretch of road.
Nice pavement for most part.
2 lane all the way, curves, hills and passing zones.

Not quite a mini run , but just spent 5 days and around 1800kms of driving around SW Nova Scotia. Met up with everyone on the spring run in Amherst, then proceeded to Truro and went west hugging the coast to Wolfville, and through the Annapolis Valley ending up in Digby. Then followed the #1 to smugglers Cove , mavillette beach, port Maitland Beach, cape forchu then ended up in Yarmouth..off again via the #3 with some off shoot loops to stick on the coast, spending time in Summerville Beach park, white point and Carter's beach. Next off to Lunenburg, and onto the #329, #3 and #333 to take in st Margaret's Bay and Peggy's Cove .. after that it was a fast track home in under 4 hours, with Lots of rabbits to follow.. never been to any of these places before other than Digby ..

Love the third and last pic! They are awesome shots. The deteriorated road really stands out against the Stang! Thanks for sharing.
