Was at the Mall in Dieppe today with my best friend from Newfoundland. He wanted to see what the Tesla was all about as they are rare to see in Newfoundland. Salesman said that this FWD model starts at 53 000$ MSRP and that the AWD model starts at 63 000$ msrp. Range was 460 km he said. No thank you lol
Well I think I found my Electric vehicle when’s it’s time and I can no longer avoid it.

This fall, the detachment will add two more electric vehicles (EVs), the fully electric Mustang Mach-E and a Ford F-150 Lightning. Mounties says both vehicles have been “outfitted to meet policing standards.”

Seen this tonight at Seaside 2024 Electric Silverado. Looks like the old Chevy Avalanche style. MSRP is 120 000$ plus add 20% tax brings it to 144 000$ and that doesn't include the cost of financing it . Probably another 30 000$ to finance it lol on the road 170 000$ Probably lol

Reality can be a bitch sometimes. Here's more reality. Canada will need 10 more nuclear reactors to provide the juice for an all EV world. Price tag: $160 - $200 Billion. The total infrastructure upgrade will cost about $600 Billion. If the Feds get involved, you can triple that number. EV technology is in it's infancy; I don't want to invest in 1st generation batteries. If every ICE light duty in the WORLD is replaced by EVs, the carbon footprint reduces by 10%. Canada can't solve the world's pollution problems. One other thing: has anyone measured how much carbon is emitted in a war. Politics is disgusting.

No one is buying our power from wind farms, nuclear reactors or solar,
so what replaces the 40% of our GDP

will be green and go backwards 100 years for our kids future

I wonder when the train wreck will happen. An acquaintance said to me this summer, my EV can kick your ass off the line. I said, yes it can, but driving a Mustang is like being on a rollercoaster. Driving in your Tesla is like being in an elevator. No comment.

That's a great analogy. As well, the microwave is faster off the line in getting your burger cooked but it tastes like garbage. The barbeque gets it done right. All about results.
like food, cars have taste and soul, EV does not have either.
