Crazy Weather events in your area

This is Elgin last evening. About 25 minutes from me. The deer hunters will love this

I hear you. I was going to drive to Cape Breton (Glace Bay) Saturday to get my father and bring him back to PEI for Christmas on Sunday. Given the forecast, I have decided to drive down and back tomorrow. About 6 hours each way, but the roads and weather should be good. Will be on the road about 500 am.

Mission from PEI to Glace Bay, and back, to retrieve my father today was successful. Departed home at 4:30 am, some slushy and icy roads on the way, but mostly good roads. Ten minute stop in Glace Bay to load father. Road conditions good on return trip, but traffic very heavy as everyone in the Maritimes trying to get their weekend tasks done today. Back home at 4:00 pm. Total distance 1113 kms. Civic ran like a champ, and despite being flogged at times, returned 6.8 l/100 km for the trip. Can now relax.

Glad to hear your trip went well, and you and your dad made it home safe.
That is quite a trip for one day, but you had a good car to do it in. I drove Honda's for nearly thirty years, sometimes on long distance business trips, and they always did right by me. I miss not being able to always drive the newest models, of which my company provided me with. I still have a 24 year old CRV, that's been a great vehicle.
