Atlantic Nationals 2016

Hey guys,

I spoke to Bill before speedsport and we agreed to meet over the next few weeks as he was pretty busy with the show. Jason and myself spoke to Jason from the nationals at the show this past weekend and he thinks we should take that location again if we want it. After so many years there people know where we are. I tend to agree with that. I know it is a field but it is easy in and out. I want to have a good discussion with Bill concerning keeping it exclusive to us longer but that may a tough one since there are people that have been going in that field for years. Stay tuned and any input you guys may ha e please feel free to share it here or pm me.

Charlie

thanks Charlie, Aliona and I look forward to it every year.
And ideas on a Friday night run and supper.
The wharf would be cool again :)

Thanks Charlie for taking care of this.

I'll be there (if I can get off). I'm pretty sure I'm already off for Wednesday to Friday according to my regular schedule. Just need Saturday and Sunday now!

No problem guys. I hope we can all make it a successful event again this year.

We have time to figure out a cruise for Friday night and defiantly the warm in shediac would be awesome again. Any other suggestions fire away.

Thats awesome Charlie,I thought for sure all late models would be offered the corvette club area (top of hill) to address the new vs old issue.

Good work as always, thanks for continuing to represent our club, looking forward to seeing you and the others.

Looks like it's gonna be the same format as previous years. I know they mentioned a format change but not gonna happen for this year I guess. We were told that the area we are in is probably the best of all the options. The Corvette club got the spot they have based on the fact that it started as a Vette show and then transformed into what Nationals is today.....so they get the grandfather clause. Makes sense. Really there is no other decent area in the park that I can think of where they can block it off and set it aside. Don't think they want to get into exclusive areas anywhere in the park and who can blame them. So the area where we have been meeting the past few years is where it looks like we will be (maybe exclusive but have my doubts). Easy in, easy out and no real amounts of dust/dirt, etc. Charlie mentioned that he/we will still talk to Bill in the next bit to confirm the details and verify 100%. I see Lorne has come out of hibernation :p

So next is the details for the Friday night run and dinner. Like the place we went to last year and it worked really well. I also had in mind going out Sackville way and hitting a restaurant there? Back roads to Sackville and highway back perhaps? I'm not totally familiar with the area so maybe an NBer can weigh in in that idea.

Good update Jason, you and Charlie represent us well.

It wouldn't hurt to mention Trevor's car when you meet again with Bill.

Even those who aren't passionate about Mustangs are impressed with it and may be the only chance to see one.

I saw this and thought how cool it would be to do it with his

This one shows it doesn't need to be so high

Might want to change the age to 50 LOL

Yep that is a great point. He's been mobbed by a lot of people the two times I've been out with him. Down in Woodside last Thursday night all the crew with the VW, Civic, etc were even over to see it, hear it and check under the hood. Front row centre is where it will be!! I'm sure Charlie will mention that to Bill when he gets the chance to talk to him :FordSmile

Hey its a stock Mustang, they might not let me in.
First time I went with my other Mustang, it had a fair amount of Mods,
but had to convince them to let me in LOL.

I have done no Mods to this one :sorry

Lol. It's in without a doubt.

They let New Corvettes in , so they will let the Top of the Line Track ready Mustang in for sure. Most People have never seen a 350R in Person. As rare as a True Blue BULLITT.

:FordSmile

For some reason I knew this was coming. :rofl

At last count, there are 54 , 2016 R's in country. a total of 93 Black 2016's.
T0 best of my knowledge its the only one in the Maritimes at this point.
Should be close to same numbers for 2017, beyond that only Ford knows.

Ford will be very close to 5000 GT350's at end of May, when 2016 models are done.
They are behind on the R's at this rate, they won't reach 500, we will see in a month.

Now that was funny Max.

They are rare,I only saw one once myself, not a clear view and not for long,we hit the highway and it vanished from my mirror.
