2024 Race season

Yes all that has been written, it seems behind the scenes, Greg Maffei had a real hate on for Michael as well.
Amercians, to outspoken I guess, makes it funny considering he is an American.

So Andretti stepping down and back, along with Maffei stepping down as CEO of FOM
and then GM stepping in to far bigger roll, allowed for it to get pushed through,
ALos makes the senate investigation go away, which realisticly would have got Ugly.

Andretti really did tick all the boxes, saying they would be uncompetive is almost funny
compared to who, HAss, Sauber, Alpine, who exactly?

I think this will be good for F-1 and US market, which has become huge in last few years
But will be fun to See if Michael shows up or ends up involved in a year or two, when they become main stream
As of Now Andretti name appears no where near this, even though its there facilities IN US and in UK that
will be building the cars, and none of this would have happened without him or the Andretti name,

Lots to watch and I am sure plenty to make us say HMMMMM :)

Glimpsed a rumor of Yuki joining Alfa Romeo, but I could find nothing more to confirm it. Besides who would he replace at Alfa? Sure he is probably better behind the wheel than Stroll is, but would Daddy Stroll ever replace him?
Thought that was very odd, but with F1, you never know where a driver may end up.
Speaking of which...I see Sargeant Logan, after pretty much a failure in his F1 attempt, scoring only a single point for a 10th place finish in 2023, has landed a race deal in the European Le Mans Series. He will compete for IDEC Sport next season.

In Other racing news..... 75-year-old John Force, the 16-time NHRA champion and sport's winningest driver, continues to receive treatment for a Traumatic Brain Injury. Although he has made significant progress since his accident, he remains under the care and evaluation of TBI specialists.
John has been careful not to announce his retirement from the sport, but announced that Jack Beckman would be driving the John Force Racing PEAK Antifreeze and Coolant Chevrolet SS, for the full 2025 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing season.
I have always thought very highly of Force, and what he has done for the sport over the years. I hate to see what could possibly be his career ending because of the accident, rather than him voluntarily retiring after perhaps a win in the finals.

Stroll and going untiul he wants, daddy bought an dbuilt team for him
Why wasn't he my dad lol.

A real sin about John Force, likely should have stayed retired the 2nd time.
Legend. Hope he recovers enough to enjoy life.

Best interview in motorsports, been a long time Force fan.

It's a 90 minute podcast from 2019 I believe, but I enjoyed every minute.

Side note, if you're old school NASCAR, and haven't checked out Dale Jr's podcast, you're missing some amazing interviews.

Thanks for the update Bill. I think John Force has used up quite a few of those nine lives. lol

Stro;; does own it or most of it, he did sell off some,
but I beleive he is still majority owner

I was wondering if I missed some transactions.

Stroll owns Aston Martin.
So can’t see how Tsunoda rumour going to Alpha Romeo would have any chance of affecting young Stroll? Per Bill above.

Unless, Aston Martin is being sold or pulling out of F1 and daddy Stroll picking up Alpha Romeo as new owner?

Or simple mix up between two teams with 2 word names?

Sorry, it appears I was completely mistaken in my reference to Alfa Romeo and Yuki. Doh!

I was intently reading an article on an auto racing website, one of those kind that has those little side pop-ups, used to attract you to other articles. On one I briefly glanced at, I thought it mentioned something about Tsunoda and Alfa Romeo teaming, but now I believe it was something about him and Alpha Tauri... When I went back to see what that article was about, of course I couldn't find it, as the pop-ups keep changing.

The new FIA F1 entry list for 2025 revealed that ‘Racing Bulls’ has replaced ‘RB’ in the team’s nomenclature. This is the team’s fifth name and the fourth since it was purchased by Red Bull in 2005. They originally renamed it Toro Rosso, then rebranded it as AlphaTauri in 2020. Alpha Tauri is a clothing/fashion company owned by Red Bull that they wanted to promote. Many still thought of the team name as Alpha Tauri well into the start of the 2024 season. It took awhile for the RB name to catch on..
The official F1 team name in 2024, was actually the ridiculous choice of "Visa Cash App RB" which they initially intended to be called VCARB as an acronym. They later chose to call it simply RB. Apparently the Visa's sponsorship paid to Red Bull for 2024 was quite a bit more lucrative than what Alpha Tauri had been paying.

Wow! Didn’t really know which way that one was going to go.
Was he in? Was he out?
Now we know.
Thanks Bill.
Ya big shocker lol, everyone knew, just what was it going to look like.
Him saying I got a contract is all about the lawyers after the fact.

He needed out and maybe some day come back, would not be the first.
but this year was a disaster, Redbull really were fools for signing to a 2 year deal mid season.

Perez is gone, Red Bull Promoted Lason to the big team.
Tsunado gets put aside again, should eb interesting to see what he says about that.
He was better than Lawson in every event this year.
last 4 teammates he out raced and out socred in points,

But does not get the promotion. ??

I feel bad for Yuki.
Perhaps they wanted to keep a decent and more experienced driver on the other RB team, to help earn points, and keep sponsorships? Lawson has a long way to go, but currently may be far cheaper for the team payroll. Max is costing them a fortune.

I expect Perez rec'd a decent severance.. He will likely be on the track again somewhere in 2025. Wonder if he likes NASCAR? :)

I bet he is very happy for this.. Questionable though, how much seat time he may actually get..
Mercedes have announced that Valtteri Bottas will return to the team as a reserve driver for the 2025 season, after he and Kick Sauber parted company following the 2024 season.
Bottas drove for Mercedes for five seasons alongside Lewis Hamilton from 2017-2021, securing all 10 of his career wins with the Silver Arrows, as well as his 20 pole positions in Formula 1. That might give him some hope.

Curious as to where Perez may turn up in 2025, I came across this tidbit. Perhaps this was negotiated as part of buying out Perez's 2025 contact with Red Bull?

"Horner has confirmed that Perez will remain involved with the team in F1 2025 by participating in a number of show runs – public demonstrations of old F1 cars, often taking place on the streets of major cities next year"

Not sure, but I doubt this would prevent Sergio from driving for a team in other motorsports. He might do very well in the WEC sports car racing series. (World Endurance Championship). It is a top international series, some races are run on tracks he's familiar with, and unlike some NASCAR drivers, he can handle turning corners in both directions.. :)
