The PWHL just put this rule in. This is something I think the NHL should implement
The new No Escape Rule (Rule 15.5) requires players on a team that take a penalty, which leads to penalty time on the clock, to remain on the ice until after the face-off that resumes action. This requirement, similar to the current No-Player-Change Rule that governs icing the puck, could lead to situations such as teams opening a penalty kill with three forwards and one defender on the ice until an opportunity for substitution arises.
Laine has been on ice for about 10 days, ahead of schedule so they would have you beleive
Practiced with the team today first time, BUT like won't play until December.
Also they are expecting it could take, 2,3 weeks or more berfore hes up to speed with team.
I said when the signed him, I think bad deal and I hope I am wrong.
8.5 million for this year and next for someone who as had a decent rookie year, one great year
and been chasing every since he left Winnipeg. Oh and Problem child on every team.
Most real NHL players back to practice, and 2 -3 practices on the ice playing,
not this creampuff, ohhhs sorry did I say that out loud
20 game marker here and gone, by end of weekend,
normally NHL has its look for season,
Montreal can't go any lower I don't think.
Seems the brass are doing nothing, we will see
they built this mess, someone needs to wake up.
3,4,5 year build I wish, this mess could be long enough to ruin whatever
young talent they have now. time for something to happen.
Habs next 3 games are 2 teams down at the same level then after the break most are top playoff contenders for a month. January is going to be brutal and certainly a good test. Maybe Laine will bring some mo-Jo to the group. They seem disconnected this year.
