To book simply call the number on the site and let them know you are booking under the 2017 Maritime Mustang Fall Run. The offical block code is 1709MUSTANG if they ask. Everyone should be placed in the same area of the hotel. FYI if you want a king room you will probably end up in a different area. Hotel is also pet friendly but if you take one with you again you could end up in a different area.

Rooms are $115 per night and you also have the option of $10 extra per person if you want the hot breakfast in the morning. For those of you that don't, see below as to what's available to you as another option....

If you aren't familiar with the Halifax area, this is a great location based on where we plan on starting the run. You have an Irving gas station attached to the same parking lot with full convience store...Starbucks righ beside the Irving. Across the street is a Smittys Restuarant along with some other businesses and a Home Dept. Hotel is 2 minute drive from the Bayers Lake shopping area where there are also several dine in restuarants along with quick places to eat like Tim Hortons, McDonalds, Harveys, etc just to name a few. Shopping places galore!!!

Plan is to have a portion of the hotel parking lot for Mustangs only since there are no drive up rooms. Once it gets closer I will make arrangements for that. I had a tour of the hotel myself and it appears to be everything we need.

This link and info wil be placed on page 1 also for quick reference.

Any questions just send me (Canuck166) a private message :)

I like the idea of Halifax both nights myself. We have some time to plan the details though so we can see what the majority likes.

Cool. I will start looking around for a hotel to house some people after Christmas :)

Then start looking for a place to happen Friday and Saturday night.....assuming we stay in Halifax both nights. That has my vote because there are so few choices to stay down that way.

We could probably make it scenic both ways if people wanted. Or do 3/4 scenic (which might get us further down the coast) and zip on the highway back. Open to suggestions as to what most would like to do.

Keep in mind if both nights are in Halifax, less of the group will be together.
30% of the run consists of people from this area.
next year I suspect that number will be 50%

I think the opposite. If you put both nights in Halifax I think more will come out and play for the evening. A good portion will be locals and will more than likely burn it back to the city rather than stay somewhere out of town. My 2 cents.

Could be right, we can explore both options and come up with whatever works.
I'm open to anything. Guess I am saving on hotel bills this year :)

I like the Halifax both nights for everything available around as well. The local could still make an evening of it and stay at the hotels on the Saturday as well to enjoy it even more. Time will tell on that one.

Chatted with Trevor a bit about it yesterday. Got some ideas going and will start planning soon. If we do the get together in February it would be a perfect time to put all ideas together

Will do, I have a feeling your turn is coming LOL.
Besides you do plenty with Nationals :)
Most of us know this route well.
biggest issue during run could be, where do
that many people eat. not may big restaurants down that way.

Rich you did a fine job last year, even the couple times we got a little off track,
was fun. We will worry about who leads, later for now we will get some planning done.
Route in place and go from there.

HMMM No promises ! Last year went too smooth - I doubt if we will pull that off 3 years in a row
Let the planning begin, the detours make for the best stories anyway

Gerry I agree, we all had aa few laughs when lost at famers field :)
Besides I always say, you can't be lost in a Mustang.
Simple really if driving mustang, then happy so NP :)

LOL ya not much.
I can lead if required ( I prefer not)
But I do know the south shore very well.
Drove trucks down that way for years.
