2017 / 2018 NHL Season

Montreals performance last night was sad.
To lose a game that was given to them in the 1st,, then again in the 2nd.
to the worst team in the NHL. Sad.

Before the game started I had a feeling Habs would lose. But once they took a 2-0 lead I had false hope. Penalties killed them. They were definately the worst team in the league last night!

Besides the f***ing horrible play of the Habs I'm really unhappy about only 2 min for the head hit on Gallanger. That was a dirty dirty hit

I agree, even though they didn't play well in the first.
I thought 2-0 just play decent and you will be fine.
Even after the 2nd which they were lucky to be leading by one.

they are an average team and went into thinking here is an easy 2 points.
and lost. No easy 2 points in NHL today.

Leafs and Habs tonight, I hope Montreal learned their lesson
and show up to play. Always fun to watch these two teams.

Doesn't take much these days. If the guy reaches for his head it's an automatic. Name the last time you hit your head (mild or otherwise) and didn't go ouch and reach up to see if you drew blood or if there was a bump??. That's enough for concussion protocol. Good to some extent.....at least they are being cautious with the players.

This will be an interesting game tonight and I am not going to predict one way or the other.

Habs SHOULD be fired up and ready to go based on the results of the last game. If they aren't then something has to change. Based on this I feel they could (and almost should) give the Leafs a run for their money. Nevertheless, Habs vs Leafs always seems to be a close game and history hasn't favoured the Leafs.

Will Matthews play is the big questions of the day!!! Why?? They are 4-0 without him and not that I wouldn't be happy to see him back but keep him out if he isn't 100%. Gonna need him more later on then you do now.

Habs lose to Coyotes, yet they shut out the Black Hawks and beat Ottawa 8-3. They will show up tonight for sure. They take the lesser teams too lightly.

24 shots in first 30 minutes, 9 shots 2nd 30 minutes.
ugly is a good word, can't put it on goalies, oh and Price's
day to day, he is not even skating. Don't blame him for not wanting to play.

New rumour is ownership and top brass are to meet first of week and decide
on direction of the club. Rebuild, retool, tweak or what? Should they have not decided
upon that in summer?

Yeah very difficult game to watch. I would be lying if i told you I watched until the end. I agree not the goalies fault. Top Brass meeting to discuss? Part of the problem is there with their poor decision making. Kinda late for that one. Lol

One thing for Sure, I Doubt that Kahdri will be taking any more Shots at Weber. Wasn't long before he was on his belly covering his Face. :FordSmile

14th in division, 27th in league and worst start in 76 years.
1/4 way through the season, guess what folks its not a few issues.
It is a disaster, you got guys lined up as 3-4 defence who at best are 5-6
we have far to many slow defence. Also far to many small players.
Guys playing centre who have never played it. 4th liners playing first line minutes.
How do you fix this?

Now the scary part, Price is out day to day, we have been here before
with these types of injuries and they just singed him to an 8 year 84 million dollar deal.
On top of that he was not playing well before his injury, can he save them, not this time.
Far to little far to late. The team is poorly built for todays NHL hockey.

Habs fans brace for it, we need at the very least a mid level re-build.
Which means getting rid of some decent talent for some young guys
and figuring out how to unload some signed contracts in last couple of
years that will be hard to move. and worst a bad team for a few years.

this all falls on MB he is the one who built this team.

true, Kadri is like that acts tough, but no one came to bail him out.
Says all you need to know about what his teams mates think of him.

Who cares. Scores goals, draws penalties and gets under the skin of the opposition. Last time I checked it wasn't a popularity contest ;)

your correct and every team has a guy like him.
But be honest, not one of his teammates came to his defence.
says a lot about how he is seen on his own team.

Gardiner arrived after he was face planted by Benn and Weber. By that time the ref and linesman had been involved so no need to risk suspension. Most stayed away....in a game that lopsided (at that particular point) something dumb like that it's best to stay away and not bother protecting him lol.

YEAH it was a pretty dumb thing to do at that point in the game. And we ended uo with the extra 2 because of the extra man in i believe.
