2017 / 2018 NHL Season

yup they went from 3rd last to 5th last, if they try hard enough, they can be good enough to get a bad pic LOL
With MB running things, sounds about right.

This years draft has 5 guys who are NHL ready with first pick being considered a franchise player.
6th onwards the drop off from the first 5 is steep. So Montreal finishing outside that 5 is really bad,
actually closer they get to last, the more it helps them next year instead of 3-4 years from now.

Based on this year, one of worst I have every seen. Jeff Molson should be demoted to owner only.
Hire a proper president ( hockey guy) Fire MB, fire Medical staff, fire scouting staff and Coaching is 50/50
some of them likely should go also. The disaster that is Shea Weber is enough alone to fire anyone dealing
with medical issues, He finally was sent to specialist Monday and he needs surgery, hmmmmm maybe he should have went
3 months ago, this is one of many blunders in last few years dealing with injuries.

Based on MB don't expect much good for a long, long time.

Thinking of driving to Montreal in October to take in a game.I suppose the game schedules don't come out until late summer. We never went to a nhl game before.

The Bruins Penguins game last night was very entertaining. 8 goals scored in first period, Bruins winning 8-4.

Habs beat the Islanders 3-1 in Montreal Wednesday night. They meet the Islanders again tonight in NY then play Bruins in Bean Town Saturday at 6 our time.

Immediately following that game is an outdoor game between the Leafs and Capitals.

Lots going on in the NHL, Montreal is very determined not to get a good draft pick.
Funny the young guys are now playing 20 + minutes a game and old guys 15 minutes
and look its better, whoda thunk it lol.

Bruins, Lightning and Pens look real strong for playoffs.
Winnipeg, Nashville and yes Vegas look strong in the west,
with a few others that could surprise come playoff time.

What will Montreal do in off season, Price has as many off ice issues as on ice it seems.

Ottawa has all kinds of problems and Edmonton well loos like they got rid of the wrong guys
now what, the could get another 1st overall pic ( Imagine that)

Should be interesting and fun to follow.

Habs win again, nice to see young guys doing well.
Personally its a mental struggle, like to see them win,
but better off for next season if they lose.

that said playing bruins, who are hot, love to see the Habs win that one :)

Habs would have won had it not been for the 6 or more penalties they racked up last night. They end up losing 2-1 in OT. Not bad considering their opponent. Habs have picked up at least 1 Point in each of their last 7 games played, :FordSmile

Devils beat Habs 6-4 last night. Was 4-0 after 1st period. Habs only started playing in second. Devils had lost 3 games and were Hungrier than the Habs.

Interesting read, thanks for posting. Bell Centre was their favorite Rink to play in and has the best ice. Also voted Montreal as having the 3rd best Fans after Chicago and Nashville. Toronto was 4th, 14 points behind the Habs. Those Leafs Fans can be pretty nasty when the Team isn't doing so well. They have been known to throw their Official NHL Team Jerseys on the Ice after a bad loss. For what they cost, I wouldn't be throwing mine away for sure.

Habs played Lightning in Tampa Bay this afternoon. They scored first and were leading 2-1 with 6 minutes to go when Lighting tied it up and won in Shoot Out. A lot better than losing 5-0 and 4-0 like they did in 2 previous games.

Toronto beat the Penguins 5-2 last night. Was 4-0 till past half way in the 3rd when Pittsburgh pulled their Goalie and scored 2 back to back goals, then Leafs got an empty netter to seal the deal. Their 10th win in a row at home.

Habs beat the Stars on home ice last night 4-2, their power play was was working and the hit anything that moved. They play Penguins Thursday and Leafs Saturday.

yup down to 6th again, very bad for draft, they need to be in bottom 5
Wanna see them play well and lose and in regulation, loser point really hurts.
We want win next year, they best lose this year, oh and fire MB or the pain could continue.

Lost to Penguins 4-3 last night. Was surprised that it was still 3-3 after 2. They play the Leafs Saturday Night, should be a good close game. :FordSmile

Leafs shut out Habs 4-0 Saturday night at the ACC. They host the Panthers tonight.

Habs are 13th in the East and 26th in League Standings. They are 1 point ahead of Ottawa who are top team in bottom 5.

Lightning (102 points) and Predators (104 points) are first 2 teams to Clinch a Playoff Spot.

yup and Price is backing up tonight, you want them to play well but not win.
Sat night was tough, they are aloud to try and beat TO and Boston LOL

That was one of the better games Toronto has played this year. Dominated from start to finish which doesn't happen very often. If it wasn't for Lindgren standing on his head it could have been much worse for the Habs.
