2016 Fall Run.

Yep just down the road from you................
You're probably going to head down on hwy 2 so we'll surely meet in Moncton on Friday and hook up with the rest of the bunch from N.B.
By the way welcome to the site !!!!!!!

You said you're going down Thursday right? Cause if you were to head down Friday, I would be open to a detour through Campbellton. I have not been down the 11 and 8 to Moncton in ages.
Let me know if your plans change.
Glad to be on the site. Nice group of car enthusiasts.

No prob. I'll keep you posted if anything changes.
By the way the 17 down from your place is getting quite nice as they have been working at it for years now so it's pretty much all nice roads except for a few spots.

Yes it is getting nice. In fact, I like to drive it at least once per season. Drive to Campbellton, grab lunch somewhere. Maybe say high to an old friend or two.
Up to Charlo along the coast and back on the highway.
Nice day trip. Nice turns and hills. Not boring like the TCH, four lane highways.

Where's the best place to get those radios and what is the best model or frequency to look for?
I don't have any now, but may be open to buying a set for this trip.
They'll always be helpful in future.

Hey Bill good to see you hear, you been dodging me at Tims on Friday.
I figured cheap, didn't wanna spring for the coffee LOL.

Almost anywhere, from CT to walmart, etc. they are all close to the same.
Unless of course you spend crazy money. They come in sets of 2 or 4 normally.
What every the deal of the days is I say, others may have better knowledge.

For your reading pleasure

Hybrid FRS/GMRS consumer radios have been introduced with 22 channels, instead of the 14 channels associated with FRS. On this type of radio, transmitting on shared FRS/GMRS channels 1–7 requires a license in the US, not Canada if using more than 0.5 watt. Channels 8–14 are strictly license-free FRS channels. Transmitting on GMRS-only channels 15–22 requires a license in the US. but not in Canada !! FRS stations on channels 1 through 7 may communicate with GMRS stations on those shared channels; the GMRS stations may use up to 5 watts of power, while the FRS stations are restricted to 500 milliwatts (half a watt).[1]

Tech stuff I guess, I charge and turn it on.
Push button and speak, if you got your ears on you hear me :)
