2016 Fall Run.

Hey Charlie are you planning on leaving Friday during the day or just after work ?? If not leaving too late I may join you guys for trip over as I believe we are probably going to be staying overnight Thursday in the Hub City. Would be nice to gather the crew from N.B. for the cruise over the bridge !!

Hey Roger,

If all goes as planned I would like to take the afternoon off if not the whole day so I would like to plan on heading out after lunch at some point for sure. Yes definitely we should try and gather up a few cars for the ride over. May be too scheduled for some but we can try and see what happens. Anyone else running up from the Moncton area on Friday let us know and we will see if we can come up with a plan. Everyone getting off work at different times mag make it difficult but we will see.

Mini runs are great, like on Friday to Cabot trail, turned into nice run along water.
I suspect Fred must be on holidays, hasn't been around, he will be going early.
Not sure about, Phil, Jody ?

Sounds good to me, sounds like a plan !!! We still have plenty of time to put this together anyway...

Yeah Fred was on vacation for a couple of weeks. He should be back anytime and I agree he would probably be going early. I am sure we will be hearing from Jody, Phil and the rest soon.

Yep it's been a little quiet with Fred on vacation lol.

I haven't heard from anyone so I assume most are sticking around for the dinner on Saturday night. Gonna be a huge number so I will wait a few more days then update the pub with the accurate numbers just so they can keep on top of things.

I'm going to wait for next Friday then update the numbers for the Lunch spot looks like 50+ is the new number
I expect we will need to travel in a couple of groups
On our Cape Breton Run Thunder had put together a route book / folder for each car

Any interest in having this available for PEI?

Share your thoughts !

I like all of what you said lol. Will do the same with the dinner spot ?

I know we have not even completed the run on PEI but I've been giving the route home (PEI to Enfield) some thought. If the Sunday weather is good - over the Bridge to Port Elgin, Sunrise trail to Tatamagouche , then over Nutby mountain to Truro and home. only adds about 6 km - but 40 minutes to drive time. Now if we stop to talk - all bet's are off

I have not driven the Port Elgin to Port Howe section of the 970 / 336 can any one update on the condition for that road?
I've gone to Amherst and run the 336 to Port Howe with no issues - the through Amherst route would add an hour over straight TCH home time.

You and I had disgussed this earlier so you know I like the idea. I can easly generate the route on paper/text from my GPS progam if wanted

Just took that route back from PEI first of the week, good run. Road was a little bumpy in a couple of spots but in general good. There's is a little fish and chip truck in Port Howe to the right, just across from Chase's lobster pound that the locals at the Port Elgin winery recommended, they were right, really good and not greasy.

I'll be leaving Friday morning from northern NB. Lunch in Moncton then head over to island. Would be up for a group run from Moncton on. Will be flexible on time and meeting place. Will basically have all day to get from point A to point B.
And you know what they say, it's the journey that's important, not the destination.
Or at least I think they say that!

Radios folks, bring your radios, I have 4 so can share, anyone else who has and has extra bring them along.
Great way to stay in touch while driving. We should have a police escort :)

Yeah we will be glad to have you along for the ride. Will firm it up as things get closer and we see a time that seems to work for most and go with that.

on Cabot trail we had to do relay, we made out.
Any is better than none. now if someone has connection to
motorola lets us know :)

Yeah it is strange how they all have different ranges. We had to do the relay sometimes on the Friday night nationals run as well. If we can keep the group somewhat together it should work out fine. That and a couple of cell phones will help.
