What did you do to your mustang today

Finally got my hands on some Sonax Alcantara Cleaner at CTC and took a run at the steering wheel in the car with a microfibre towel and a soft bristle brush to try and bring it back to life after years of my sweaty, greasy hands on the wheel.

I really liked the Sonax Wheel Cleaner, and I think I've added the Alcantara Cleaner to my list too, I'd give it two thumbs up.

Maybe its time to invest in some driving gloves, not to look cool, but to keep the sweat & grease off the wheel of both vehicles.

Received 2 new rocker panel end caps from Fibreglass Specialties in Nevada 2 weeks ago, had ordered them end of April.

$125 USD plus $30 Shipping

dropped them off to my paint guy last week and I’m dropping car off to him tomorrow

He’s going to do some blending on the drivers side door where clear coat is gone and will see what he can do about the same problem on trunk lid.

The 2 Factory Pieces they are replacing have seen better days and the replacement parts are a Shaved Version that won’t hang as low and should avoid any scrapes1D7AA48C-9593-45AC-8893-81B3C0416B7B.jpeg318F5B3A-B5DD-49EE-9B02-DA8C6165D2FD.jpegC096B3E1-7709-45DB-9F4F-DF0909A04DBB.jpeg2E7DA2E5-57C5-4301-85F7-F67AFD93F12A.jpeg

I do not get to post much on this thread. Nothing to make the eco-boost go faster but instead something to stop sooner. The 2015 GT brakes I got from Marc last year after his upgrade are now into their second life. Thanks for offering them up here first. When I put them on and mounted the wheel I can certainly say there is not much room left. They are performing well. Did not go with braided steel lines. The lines you had with the set were new, matched and and worked well. New caliper bolts to mount them and new banjo bolts/washers.

While I was getting ready last week to do the front I looked at the back as saw some cracks forming in the rotors so picked up new ones and pads for the rear.

All around brake job complete. At 77,000 kms on the car should be good for another 50,000 kms.

Picked the Car up from the Body Shop and drove it to my Detailing Guy who did an Inside and out wash, carpet shampoo and applied 2 coats of Wax.

The New Rocker Panel End Caps look Great and the Body Shop blended the areas on the driver door and Trunk Lid where the Clear Coat had Faded. 712230C0-117F-4EB2-89AF-3D3AE6D15E9F.jpeg0E8BC71E-2F2E-463F-BCC0-AFF28E6D995B.jpegC92E2B44-9D95-4CCD-9D97-8B9CF25EFD3D.jpeg6273FD6F-3A89-4E9E-84FA-A1B2969A3A3D.jpegB9483B88-D9D2-4185-8EF8-B078BF3A4942.jpegD1888DF8-13BE-4C8C-9BB3-84153423DE86.jpeg61372AED-9FA3-48B4-845D-D6926642D34B.jpeg

Looks really good Fred, your guy did a great job.
The Guy that did the Paint Work is 79 and has a Shop next to his house. He just does small jobs now.

He charged me $250

The Guy that did the Cleaning and Wax charged me $100. He’s Retired and does 2 3 cars a week during the summer months.

The Replacement parts cost me just under $200 Canadian Shipped from Nevada, was $125 US for the pair and $30 US Shipping via USPS/Canada Post delivered to my mailbox down the street.

Soooooo....... got my Corsa Resonator Delete Double X Pipe installed this morning.

Sorry, no video clips or sound bite, I'm not on youtube, and I suspect any clip I take on my phone will be too big to download onto the site from my desktop.

That being said, my initial reaction is pretty positive, startup and running with the valves closed isn't much different from having the resonators, but where the mod really comes into play is with the bypass valves open in Sport and anywhere above 2500 rpm it starts to wake up.

Still getting used to the sound, its definitely louder, and I definitely get more Rice Krispies on the down shifts. ( snap, crackle & pop )

Overall, I'm pretty happy with the mod, I still need some more shakedown time in Mexico to fully appreciate it. lol
