Thought of the day.

No kidding. I was watching weather network this morning and seems you guys are in for significant freezing rain and ice pellets.
Something like 10 to 20 cm of ice pellets and up to 25 mm of freezing rain, with winds. Just west of GTA. Woodstock / London area.
Could be devastating to power grid.
Does not turn to rain until Sunday night.

Well, good luck and positive thoughts for you guys.

Went to Speed sport in Moncton today, first time having gone pretty decent event.
Gets the car juices flowing, hoping no weather affects things, but hopefully next week
get the car out, clean it and go for a spin. Prey for a little weather :)

Supposed to improve by Monday, was hoping to bust out the car on Thursday, calling for 5 deg C and sunny, my storage expires on Friday. Theres been a fair bit of accumulation today, hopefully the freezing rain is minimal.

Well the crap that hit southern Ontario is barrelling down on North Western NB.
Freezing rain warning in effect for Monday night into Tuesday.
Possibility for extended period of freezing rain on top of 5 cm of ice pellets.

-14 last night. -12 tonight. Our snow is not going anywhere fast.
Car won't be out for at least another month.

Now, what was I saying about mowing grass the other day...?

Well, still have snow, fair bit fell, but we were fortunate that the freezing rain wasn't as bad as it could have been. Power stayed on the whole weekend, no outages locally, but there were some in southern Ontario.

Supposed to start warming up as the week progresses.

Yes this winters numbers are quite good when I look at the stats.
The key is everyone contributing even a little, posts help give others
something to read and respond to. Were still growing and it will take time to build data base.
But we have a really good group on here and I think it will continue to grow.

We had one hook on here a bit ago from Saint John. Hopefully we keep getting more!! The fall run is happening in that area later this year so fingers crossed that we can attract all kinds of attention in NB!

Well we got off lucky. We ended up not getting the ice pellets. Not enough to accumulate anyway.
We still got freezing rain, but not as much as forecasted either.
Saint-Leonard and south, driving was not too bad this morning. Salt trucks had been out overnight.
North of Saint-Leonard toward Edmundston got more freezing rain but no power outages.
All schools closed today though.
We're still in for 2-4 cm of snow tonight before it turns to rain tomorrow morning.
Warming here too as week goes on.
Until Friday that is. They are calling for snow Friday with daytime high of zero. No amounts given yet.
Hope they're wrong!

The first long range forecast with Temps in the teens for 2018 just came...sum & cloud high of 13 for next Tuesday! Of course, plenty of time for that to go south! Gotta get better sometime soon. Getting car out of storage May 1st counting on spring weather to to be here. Fingers crossed!

we had 42 mm of rain yesterday with another 15-20 tomorrow and Temps rising next week also.
Getting car out this weekend, can't wait :)
