Thought of the day.

Yes beautiful day today. Am in church point, N.S. for daughters university graduation. Sunny. Wind a bit cool off the water but sun nice. Drove the Fusion sport down yesterday. With 91 octane it scoots along pretty good. Nice steering feel, throttle response and holds gears longer in sport mode. This is my third Fusion. Have always been impressed with their road manners. This one the best by far with electronic dampers.

That Fusion Sport sounds like a Fun Ride.

I enjoyed my 08 Taurus Limited AWD the first few years I had it.

But once the extended Warranty was done and the repair costs started adding up, the Honeymoon was over.

Wife got tired of that and we traded it on a 17 Mazda CX3 AWD last week. 5 Year Lease, so I won't be keeping it 9 years like the Taurus.

It's not intuitive to me either. That's why I'm not playing with it. I took highway 14 from Windsor to Stewiack on way back. Put it in sport mode and the computer did great job. Held gears longer before shifts and downshifted quite a bit quicker when I applied brakes. Steering also stiffened up nicely for road feel and so you don't steer too quickly into corners. I think suspension also became more responsive. Not necessarily stiffer, just felt quicker to react. Rotated nicely around corners with slightest of accelerator input. Also a bonus piped in induction noise. I knew it was artificial but it was still cool. It defenitely let me know when I was on the gas.

Ran that road last night, unfortunately was in the truck - nothing sporty about a GMC sierra 1500 with a load in the box! Pays the bills though- some at least.

He pays the bills - he gets to choose . I've driven a lot worse than this one. Averaging about 4000 k a month, glad its their truck

It was 34 with the Humidy on Thursday, with a feel like temp of 5 today. I would have settled for 20 to 25 all week.

Too cold to wash the Mustang or drive it today. :(

Nicest day of the 3, but sadly I am working, cars needs a wash after weekend trip.
Maybe tonight, I will get at it, then wet week ahead.

On a mainstream vehicle, the paddle shifter would benefit greatly from a good tune, improving their response time.

This Morning at 8:30, the Sun was shining and it was warm when I let the Dogs out.

10 minutes later, the Sun was gone and it was cold.

Now it is still cloudy with and only 11 degrees.

This afternoon supposed to see 17, (I have my doubts).

Supposed to be 14 this evening.

So much for going to the first Dieppe Canadian Tire Show tonight.

Car Shows are no longer enjoyable for me when it is cloudy and temperatures are in the Teens. :(
