Thought of the day.

I got power back last night, Still 200K with out power.

There was no internet while the power was out. Initially with generator running we had internet. At some point the internet went down. Did not have cell coverage for the longest time.

No damage at my place. A few downed trees in here and there.

I hope you all are safe and sound.
 
Power was back 3:30 yesterday, Just got internet, phones and cable back.
yesterday most of day, did not even have cell service.
Not good to lose complete communication.

Eastlink and bell did not do what they sell with anyone. Communicate.
Bad enough nothing worked, but trying to get an idea what was happening
forget it.

One thing I will say, the Maritime Mustang link worked amazingly well.
for those with friends and family around the Maritimes, we got updates from most areas
through out the storm. To know people were ok and safe was great to hear.
 
Went 43 hours with no power.....came back at 1030 this morning. Had a generator so kept the freezer and fridge going plus the wifi worked (for a bit) on Sunday. All things considered it went pretty well. Today all back up and running and handed off the generator to my boss who is still out and no clue when he will be back on the grid.

Everytime a major storm hits somewhere, a story like this pops out sadly. I recall the same report when Péninsule Acadienne was hit with the ice storm in 2017, where Quebec trucks have been raided. Crazy how much bad people there is around.... Bad enough to F*$% up the persons that are here to get you out of a mess.... Some people just shouldn't exist ... :rolleyes:

Ya, a few generators were stolen in Shediac during the Power Failure.

Sad world we live in.
 
Hey everyone just got internet back, power out for little more than 24 hr no big deal no major damage but took me 3 days to clean up the mess. Now it's time to get the Mustang cleaned for the big day. We are still thinking of getting new car but have not found the one yet. Hope all are safe and have little damage after the storm. Can not wait to all of u on 21st.
 
Glad to hear that the damages appear to be kept to a minimum for most of you guys.

Sad to hear that people are stealing generators and stuff out of the power trucks. I.makes you wonder what foes trough peoples heads sometimes. Or should I say what doesn't go trough their heads.
 
If any of these people get caught, they should be charged with theft and
endangering the public, because if it slows these folks down trying to help,
that is exactly what they are doing.

So maybe 5-10 years instead of slap on wrist would wake these people up.

Not as Severe a Punishment as what I had in mind. :mad:
 
I like to have hope that somewhere along the line, those bad deeds will come back around on those that choose to take advantage of others charity.

Much like if you put good will and good deeds out there, you will receive the same back.

I'm glad everyone made out well, and East Coast resolve has weathered another storm.

Wow, look at me being all philosophical this morning....what the heck did I put in my coffee anyway?? lol
