Huskies Won Memorial Cup, winning Final 4-2.

Yep not the results I wanted but really the better team won. Huskies were number 1 in the CHL most of the year for a reason. They are a never quit team and come at you like no team I’ve seen before. When push came to shove the Moose couldn’t hang with them. You have to play 60 minutes of hard hockey to have a chance. Some good NHL prospects on that team.

Ya, Joel Teasdale belongs to Habs, should be a good fit, and Noah Dobson to Islanders, a team that is going places.

Moose went at it hard early and gained a 2 goal lead, then they
shifted to a 1-2-2 set up, which is defensive minded.
Great with 5 minutes left in game, not so much with 40 left.

Huskies kept coming in waves, Moose switched to defensive style,
could never turn it back on. That said they showed well as host and proved they deserved to be there.
City was a zoo and can bet when our turn comes up we get another Memorial cup.

There sure was lots of sports to cover this past weekend.
Monaco Grand Prix Sunday morning as well and Coke 600 at Charlotte in the evening.
Close for Joey Logano but no cigar.

First decent day of the season here today.
Not quite. Saturday was nice too but that was get the lawn mowers out, ready and get first cut in, so no Mustang.
Besides, no events or destination to go to. Roads still not great up here.

Today however, was nice and drove '06 to work.
Got MVI done, Oil changed, all fluids checked and alignment tweaked.
All good to go.
Nice to get out. Like catching up with an old friend.

No flies this morning because -3 last night, but some bad on short trip home at quitting time.
Not normal flies. Big black soft like flying ants, with lots of white guts.
Would not have needed to be cleaned otherwise, but ended up washing it after supper.

Sun was going down fast but got first picture of both ponies together before washing the '06.

Had an interesting day Friday.
Drove to Quebec city with my cousin's son where he picked up this beauty.
A 2017 barely used demo in excellent condition, save for need of a bit of detailing.
You can tell Honda guys are not Mustang fans. Detailing is just a suggestion to them I guess.

Just turned 7000 km. Track pack standard as of 2017. Has electronics package which includes NAV.
Cloth Recaros.
Was the owner's Demo in 2017 at Desjardins Auto Collection, the SVT dealer in Quebec city.
It was picked up at auction by the Porsche dealer in Quebec city in 2017 at around 1000 km.
The Porsche dealer also owns a big Honda dealership in Quebec city. Hondas are popular there.
The son of the owner runs the Honda dealership.
He drove the Shelby as his demo before selling it to one of their Porsche customers.
Porsche customer only had it one year and traded it back in at the same Porsche dealer on a Porsche.
Owner's son resumed driving the Shelby as his demo.
So the son says, out of the 7000 km on the car, he put about 5000 of them on.
He drove it to commute home in the summer. Pretty much rain or shine from what we could tell.
He had driven in the rain the day before we went and had not washed it for our showing, even though he knew we were coming.
Interior needed Mustang level detailing.
Anyway, paint flawless. Engine bay exactly as it should be. No mods. Tires in good shape. No evidence of abuse.
For the monetary savings, a good deal.

The sound is intoxicating.
With relatively low torque under 3000RPM, it's very easy to drive. Won't get you in trouble from a start.
But it does come alive between 3 and 4 grand on the tach, and then you still have 4000 plus revs to play with.
The handling is amazing, surgical instrument precise. No body roll, no vagueness and no delay in input response.
He wanted me to drive it for a distance so he could watch and hear it from an onlooker's perspective.

Here it is in the Honda lot where we first saw it.

Here it is a couple hours later at a rest stop along Route 20 where we switched drivers.
