Picked up a 2010 Hardtop GT

Well, as some have noted from a post I made on this site, I did get the stripe kit I had ordered on. I had ordered it from the Mustang Shop in Calgary. Took 2 months to come. It came in five pieces - the large centre piece, the two long pieces on each side of it, and the two pieces that go down from the hood onto each fender.

I did some reading and watched some videos, and thought how hard can it be to do striping. I followed the recommended vehicle prep and prepared the proper lubricating solution and started with the large hood piece. I had it 90% in place and smooth when I pulled a corner and stretched the vinyl - no good.

Another Mustang owner had used a Charlottetown company called Pressed 4 Time for striping last year and was very happy with their work. I went to the company and they had the exact colour 3M vinyl that I had f$#&ed up. I asked if they could duplicate the ruined piece and put the whole kit on, thinking it would be at least $500. I was very surprised when they quoted me $150 to make the new piece, and put it all on.

A week later they did it and I was very happy with their work, attitude, and price. The end result. Somethings are maybe best left to the professionals.
