Nissan / honda side project

I got snookered into this project last spring lol.
Bough a used race car in pieces
A good friend is putting back together and did most of the work
with help from a few friends, exhuast is being done now and
a week away from staarting in for first time in years.
few more odds and ends it will be ready for shake down at track

Different set up, tube frame car, back end is Nissan 200sx
front is Honda, with a Honda engine. Guy who built had different ideas
Couple of pics, but not done.

Custom race exhaust

Picked up race car this morning, back to Al's shop with new exhaust
ball joints and few other little goodies done.
Brake, fuels lines, few other bits and car will be ready for
first start in years, couple weeks if all goes well.

Then bit of body work, set up car and try and make square, right camber / casting settings
and few other odds and ends, if no major issues, ready for shake down run at track,
Month away with any luck. After that see what is wrong or needs to be repaired
then maybe have some real fun

Have Used ( new to us race seat) new belts to install, hope I fit, looked narrow lol.

Dropped in to see progress on other project I am involved in, can't take credit for built, just the wallet on this one
about 5 times over projected original budget, but real close to starting and real close to shake down at track.

So Al got stuck with trying to get engine started, looks like spark problem
I know little to knowing about sewing machince engines, so I took it to a friend who specializes in Honday engines
last week and hopefully he sorts that out,

so another project on the move.
hopefully trck ready by spring

Got this back today running, some wiring done wrong and computer is toast
so sourcing new one of those and then install hondata to run programing and V-tech part of engine,
Engine is solid, and works great.

Setting up to send off for suspension set up, bit of body work, then a wrap
set of tire and ready to go, sounds easy right

Should be a fun little corner carver once all the suspension work is done!!

Its only 1700lbs, this thing will wil be mini rocket,
lot like a go kart, stupid fast and when fast its fun

Back in shop, ready for list of things to be done, arrnaging to send out for suspension set up in next few weeks.

Some more work done, upgrades continue, new tires, wiring, shocks, struts, springs thing is running properly now.
new lexan windows, done by (Maritime Auto Glass ) and the list goes on.

takne to shop to upgrade the look, beleive it or not, there is lexan on tail light section, that will have fake tail wrap to make look real.
next pictures are going to be so cool. its getting very close

Have extended lug nuts ordered, new shifter, few new reservoir tanks for brakes
proper race tow hooks, fire extinguisher and some other odds and ends,
after making it prettier, its off to have suspension set up

then if all is right in the world, off to the track for a shake down / test day
