Nissan / honda side project

Was just asking if it was vht brand .
nothing special, upgraded pads , something we will look at for future is upgraded brake system
but considering its almost 4 years and about 4 times the original budget for this thing,
done spending money that it doesn't need,

2 computers to be programmed, some filters to do, new set of plugs,
some sort of gauge or measureing system for fuel, is about all thats left for spending money,
rest is shop work, free labour and time, bit of touch up paint etc.

then in May we get shake down run at track and assess whats good, anything that needs work etc.
then decide who is going to do what at the track with it, me personally plan on lapping sessions
no outright racing is planned yet, but will be looked at, one never knows :)
 
this animal is so close to track ready we are now checking dates and trying to arrange
to get car on track, much more to follow on that front.

heres a few more pics, tuner is coming this week to program new tuner, adding a couple more things, but after tune it can go to track, were ready

I know I spoke abouth this few other places, but back to its own thread,
some updates incase I missed them, 4 years finally got to track, due to some conflicts, misunderstanding, did not do a race compitetion lic
this year, just renewed, lapping and time attck lic. Also the year, seems to be less available lapping sessions uggg
that said, fist time out some shake down runs to make sure nothing fell off after 4 years of work and over 15 years since this thing has seen a race track. first time out went good, few small issues, brakse not where we want few other things, but good feed back

Get home, sort out brakes, about to back out of garage, clutch fails,tear apart, slave cylinder,clutch fork spring broken, 14 hours work,
$50.00 thats fix, few other small things weekend 2, here we go, Al goes out, few good laps all is well giver, few hard laps someone else spins, session over, next session, I tell Al go again, 12-14 really good laps no problmes, session 3 I go out, 10 hard laps, seems like starving for fule last couple laps bring it in, session ends, lunch break. let it cool take hood off, good thing, shock broke, so no worries about fuel today, on the trailer we go, and no Sunday, we figure out a bad washer underside of mount falied, so easy fix, and don't need to replace the new shocks,
now sort out fuel issues, few other small things, ready for next weekend in August.

was tough decision not to go to Moncton as I love the show and weather is good.
But going to the race track and thats fun too. Also very limited time available.

Hopefully closer to getting all bugs out and making a little faster every weekend,
fingers crossed we have solid weekend.

Lapping saturaday, Lapping and time attck event Sunday.
fingers crossed all goes well.
 
Maybe should have went to car show,
lap two lose the rear end, whole story about that,
anyway sitting in car looking at hood till rescue gets there was sick feeling.
Look like I trashed whole front of car, with hood back 8' and up a foot and half

Well new rad, another slave cylinder, few body mounts, one hole in headlight sticker and few cracks to deal with later.
5 hours in shop and its back on trailer for tomorrow, we really need to get brakes sorted out and brake bias.
we beleive culprit for ass leaving the seen under braking.

hoping for better day tomorrow :)
 
After rough start to weekend on Saturday.
Sunday was much better, more tweaks to brake system Sunday morning,
made a big difference. Car worked very good and did not go onto trailer
until we were finished, managed to collect some data, for more suspension tweaks.
cut 2.5 seconds off our lap time. so all in all a great day, we didn't break anything :)
