NHL 2021

Montreal with another win over Vancouver
puts them at top of league 10 games in,
still early, but great start.

Vancouver might soon put a hit out on Toffli
he was Canucks Killer when with kings,
they had him for 10 games and playoffs
and screwed up not getting him signed.

Montreal gets him for great price, he has 9 goals
8 in 5 games against Canucks lol.

First two periods all refs. Last period and OT no refs lol. Let’s hope for a happy medium. I think that’s the best we will get based on the way the NHL refs have performed so far this year.
I was not thinking of how many or when.
but type of calls and when. but regardless
maybe they can just call the bad stuff thats obvious
and let the players decide. be nice for a change.
they have been brutal at best in any game I have seen.
Rarely fair and many that don't make sense.
mostly hard to think they are favouring a team
but on occasion, you would swear they are working for a team.

I want to watch hockey not figure skating :)

Putting the refs aside there is a fair bit riding on the two games coming up. Habs have Edmonton in the middle of the two Leaf games so 3 for them. Close up top. Might be a bit early but it appears the Canucks and Sens will be bottom two. That leaves the 5 others to battle for top 4 and the right to go to the playoffs.

I think last spot is fought out between Calgary and Edmonton.
Leafs have 8 back to backs, montreal has 10
not sure how big of a difference if any.

I think the big thing is not playing other top teams
no reference points come playoffs.
If you look at standings fo whole of NHL and games played
Montreal and Toronto are still top 8 teams.
But how do they fair out among other top teams.

Montreal and Toronto are both good, but quite different in how they get there.
Guess we see how it goes, should be fun to watch. Big question is
how different will it be in playoffs, I expect both of them to be there.

I really think the big factor (looking at how things are as of now) between the Habs and Leafs will be goaltending. Not talking about the big saves really (although that is important) but the fact that Price has played 4 fewer games than Andersen already. Let’s call it the Jake Allen factor lol. Trusted backup. Leafs started Campbell for two games and liked what they saw. He played well...then got hurt. Devils took Dell on waivers and now Hutchinson is on the bench. Not the one they wanted. Down the stretch this will be a huge factor. Hopefully Campbell comes back sooner than later.

Gamw was much like the first one, decent game until refs got involved
in 2nd and then let leafs get away with alot in 3rd, Leafs win.
a normal season wouldn't make huge difference, but when you play 10 times
it could have a bigger effect.
