New Bronco

After Al's posting a pic, this morning I sent a text to my guy at Macphee teasing
about not having a Bronco yet, funny how it works, thier dealer demo arrived 2 hours later.
They are not aloud to sell this for quite some time, appartently every dealer is getting one
to use for promotoing the new bronco.

Aliona and I got to have a look, it had not been PDI or even cleaned up yet, but was cool to see, the gave me keys to
check it out and once ready, we can atleast take it for a spin.

Lots of pics, over the next couple of posts. :)
This is the wildtrak edition, with sasquatch package
so 1.5 " factory lift, with 35" tire and lic package.
almost exact, except for colour, that we have ordered.

First impressions, we both like it, has a cool factor, and a rugged factor,
but still nice enough to feel and look comfortable. It has all the lastest tech
with massive screen, and lots of adjustments for creather comforts,
can't wait to take it for a spin, to get impressions of the drive.

Aliona just got home and we talked about, she loves it, so heres
hoping no more delays, she likes interior and the mean look it has.
just got a text from sales manager, PDI will be done tomorrow and we can take for a spin
so hopefully can get the drive in with feed back.

what I have read of a few in US who have, on road mannaers are quite nice,
For and agressive set up, hope its true :) looking forward to test drive.
Other choice was ranger Rover defender, out of my price range lol

Arranged a test drive in new Bronco this afternoon, showed up and top was off :)
the Bronco has incredible road manners and exceptionally little tire noise for big 35's even with roof
off. I was impressed and Aliona loves it. She will have to adjust, far bigger than she thought,
but great sight lines and good mirror views, back up camera is crazy good.
few more pics.

WIth all the delays on Alionas new Bronco, to be honest was afraid to ask
if the July 22 build date was still on track, I knew because we had a VIN #
we would see it this summer, some have been already pushed to 2022
MIC roof models 2023.

But with us checking out the dealer demo and taking for a spin,
I had to ask, well good news for a change.
It went into production yesterday, so should be complete in day or two.
I told Aliona mid August to play it safe, but they gave me August 3rd delivery
date, but I am realistic it comes by train and can even be held up at suto port
so still chance it could be late. but getting close, very cool.

I was into Downey's today and they have one in the show room , i find they are much nicer in person and yes bigger than what i expected .. I might have to trade in the old Outback sometime within the year ..

Not good news

I knew their have been roof issues and knew this was one of the major delyas
in production, so much so FOrd took over operations at Wasbaso and even had
thier own hourly employees working there to try and solve the problems.

Hard to get real info, no new updates other than ours is build and sitting in rail yard
in Michigan. Could show up with no notice or still be there.
Hurry up and wait.

I bet it is frustrating!! Hopefully it arrives soon.

Bassically hurry up and wait. Ours has missed to deliver dates after build.
Dealer seems to get no updates from Factory, so 2 options.
wait or go buy something else. Range ROver defender is wicked, but
a bit out of our price range lol.

There is possibly a third option.
Order another one with a soft top.
Then get a hard top when they sort out the issues.
I mean if you’re going to have a soft top anywhere in Canada, the west coast is number 1 place to do so, then the coast of Nova Scotia would be second, weather wise I mean.

yes true and at the time we ordered, no interest in a soft top.
3 soft tops sit at auto port now.
Problem with that now is any order is 18 months out.
I am hoping mine shows up before that lol.

It probably, and hopefully, it will.
But it will be interesting to see.
Should circle the date on calendar today and start countdown.
See what the difference is in the end.
