Mustang Trivia.

Alright, we'll go for dark foxbody history as it kinda tie in the previous question. Max, we recently discussed this so don't ruin it right away.

In 1981, Ford announced to their dealers that a new high performance package would be introduced for the 1982 model year. Literature sent to the dealerships explained that it would replace the Cobra, include similar ground effects and stripes but also included a higher performance 5.0 engine.

While this package was ultimately introduced with the classic GT name that we all know well, what was the initial name/acronym that Ford used for it in their internal marketing?

Don’t tell me it’s SS or GT SS ?

That's a win for Fred. SS as in Super Snake. Kinda made sense for a higher performance Cobra replacement, I guess.
