The number 3 is correct. Big numbers in 1984 lol. Steve had no idea that what he wanted to do would be so popular. He took a lot of hints from the SVO for the 84 versions. That last one that Fred posted (aqua colour) is awesome. I hope to own a Fox Saleen someday but as the years go by they get harder and harder to find in decent shape. Not to mention prices keep going up as the quantity goes down lol.

The High Performance 289 was rated at 271 Hp. The base 4 barrel was 225 and the base 2 barrel was 200. A significant jump from base. It is a highly prized option to get a K code car. You will likely see one referred to coming across the block at BJ auction.
 
2 part question. How many S197's were built the first year of production ?

What was the most built color that year?
 
I'd say black was the most popular colour built....just a guess. I will go with 150,000 units :D
