Crazy Weather events in your area

Once again weather forecaster, make themselves look like idiots.
Millions of dollars in equipment and you have has much luck
getting it right throwing darts blindfolded at board.

Wasn't as bad here as most of Maritimes, raining hard at 1;30
yesterday and by 3 pm, we had 10-12 cm of wet heavy snow on the ground,
snowed/flurried till 7 all cleaned up by 10
Forecast saying 1-2cm over night, woke up at 3;30 to another
4-7cm depending where you were in city, got to do it all again :)

I should have been weather man, only job I know you can be wrong everyday
and not get fired :ROFLMAO:

To put things in perspective about location, location.

Catching weather on 11 O’clock news last night noticed more than 20 degree difference in current temp values at the time between home and a couple spots in NS, in CB and South Shore.

So checked environment Canada numbers for last 24 hours.

Coldest temp in Yarmouth yesterday was -14 at noon.
Our warmest was reached here at 3 pm and it was -20.

So our warmest was still 6 degrees colder than the coldest in Yarmouth.

Then our coldest was reached this morning at 1 am and it was -35.
At that same time in Yarmouth this morning it was “only” -12.

A -23 degree swing colder up here.

Imagine the impacts on home heating, and abuse to car batteries when you try to get going in the morning.

I just find that interesting.
We’re all in the Maritimes but clearly we experience great differences in weather and temperatures.

Note, no wind chill values involved here.
These are all actual temperature readings.

Stay safe all. ?

Your right its crazy, last night here -20
morning -16 now -4
tomorrow morning +3

Friday night, calling for 30-40 cm Amherst
eastern Cape Breton 40-50 mm of rain
here 10-15 of each
now thats 2 days away so all could change lol.

Crazy winter everywhere,
-16 this morning
0 now, with couple cm down, went and salted,
over night calling for 1 MM rain +3
then another 1cm snow to follow -2 by 5am
+3 tomorrow after noon.
looks like 3:30am wake up call for salt
incase of black ice lol.

crazy weather, but still better than Northern NB :)

Some of the latest models are showing 80cm for the center of the track somewhere between charlottetown & Prince Co. EC updated winter storm watch to 30-50cm & gusts to 100. By the sounds if this one, regardless of where it swings, PEI is getting a gut punch of winter!

Keep the shovel handy and don’t forget the storm chips!
so far I’ve looked at 5 forecasts - anywhere from 15-35 mm of rain and no snow to 20mm rain and 50 cm of snow for Enfield
but this one takes the cake - At 10 am Saturday 3 mm rain - Heavy snow and -11 feels like - 23 , but only 2% chance of mist.

learned a new word today. Ninsoare - means Snowfall , not heavy snow must be light stuff .

Well it looks like in a few hours the next load of crap is coming
depending on where you are, results may vary.
be careful, be safe and hopefully internet will work
so when I get home tomorrow afternoon, I will see some cool
car pics, funnies and whatever else folks come up with :)

Gone from Heavy rain at 6 pm to Ice pellets at 7:30 to almost 2 " of white stuff on the back deck at 10:30 complete with Thunder, Lightning and lots of wind. If you have to be on the roads, be safe . Watch out for the others who certainly can't drive as good as you. - If you don't have to be out: stay home , warm and dream of spring driving

Ist plow of the night just went past - Left some decent banks !
