65 Again: 2017 Shelby GT350

Marc was this a recal

No, it’s not a recall.

But the orange coolant has been found to turn to sludge after about 5 years with poor corosion protection.

Ford has stopped its production entirely.
Can’t get it anymore unless it’s leftover stock on some dealer shelf somewhere.

Ford has replaced it with the yellow coolant.
Replacing the orange is protection against the sludge buildip and returns good corosion resistance to your coolant system.

I got that information from Dasilva.
The dealerships don’t mention it because it’s not a recall.
If you take your car to dealership and are low on coolant, the trchs will simply add some yellow in with the orange.

I haven't checked, but I hope I'm not running sludge. ;)

Good info Marc, thanks, think I mentioned previously I already had my truck done a year or two back.

Got a system flush for the car on the roster for spring, along with oil change and battery change out, and investigate the noise I had show up last fall.

Battery change out is cheap insurance, it's getting on to seven years old, and these new ones die fast when they go.

Put the plate on today.
One step closer to hitting the road.

Took pic of mileage.
Pretty good for a 6 year old car.

Anything that new, just be easy on it first 1000k, maybe do a fluid change
otherwise enjoy.
Yup, I'd do the same.
Fresh fluids everywhere (for peace of mind), but the car is not old enough that the hoses, belts and other rubbery things have started to deteriorate (with the quality of modern materials).
One thing I couldn't do tho, is actually such a low mileage car... I am notorious for just jumping in the car whenever I get bored/feel like it and take a drive to literally nowhere, which with a 200kms babied future collector car would be an instant value killer. Extremely nice, but for someone else than this guy.
Mark's example here have been driven & enjoyed, and I would simply add a LOT more miles to it personally (again, I am not the client type for low-miles niche cars, I tend to drive too much :) )

This guy has 40 plus cars and no interest in driving any of them,
just alot of money :) not I problem I share with him

the car is actually sold as new, so who ever bought it, gets first time owner honours
plus the whole kit and goodies that come with it.

The horse is out of the barn! 🐎
The snake is out of the pit! 🐍

Yesterday, had oil changed, orange coolant flushed and replaced with yellow, along with caster-camber plates and alignment, trailering hooks, air filter and backup camera recall all done.

Drove about 150 km. Wow! 🤩
What a thrill.
Whole different animal.
Decided it’s not loud enough though.
Even in sport or loud mode, can’t hear exhaust with windows down at highway speeds.
Can barely hear it while stopped at red light with other traffic next to you.
A project for next year. Address the resonators. 🤔

Old and new air filters.
