As you can some pics, previous post, rear end is now out and gone to Specialist to be taken apart and
new seal put in , along with being checked out, Cleaned making sure all is good,
it is a winters rearend with 486 set up, with quick change gears we can adhust find drive quickly
Looks like a starting point around 4:10 final drive to start. This rear end is spool design
which in laymans terms like a welded diff, rear tires spin exactly the same
Ideally we would put in a detroit locker, bit like a limited diff, but likely starting with this set up
Should be fine, just a little getting use to and occasional one whell spinning to keep on tight turns.

Car has been completely stripped, 98% of suspension is now here and we can start putting it together,
Rear -end comes back we install rear suspension, Front springs 800lbs, rear 400lbs fairly stiff.
I have new brakes coming, complete set up, did deal on new for 1/2 price, good way to start and leaves up some spares.
Willwood 4 pot front and rears witth PFC race pads, should stop good.

Checked in with Armstrongs, engine is due to be torn apart next week, so see what that looks like :)
hopefully have back soon. Found seat ( on its way) new race harness among other stuff.

Lots to do, seems like lots of time, but 3 months to race season, comes quick :)

Got a call for Armstrongs yesterday
needs pistons, bearings and It has
flat tappet cam, so going to change that too.
Going to a solid roller cam,
which means rebuild heads, new lifters and springs,
but should be better

Going to try and reduce compression ratio,
currently 11-1
hopfully 9,5 or 10 to 1
little easier on engine.

Should make good HP and TQ.

Front suspension done, new ends for sway bar
custon fitted and painted blue :)

Engine is done, pick up Monday.
rear end is almost done, hopefully next week.
more parts coming, fuel cell checked , cleaned and ready

piece by piece :)
