Dropped by the Shop an hour ago. They just got started. Replacement engine was in Bubble wrap next to car in shop.

Apparently the Intake manifold gasket is re-usable. I hope it is , as the retail for the Intake Manifold Gasket is $500!!!!

Pricier cause the Intake Manifold is BULLITT Specif.

Looking good Fred! Where did you get the ridiculous price for the gasket? Quick google search finds them at $130 Canadian for the bullit and $85 for the GT. In Canada

Shop got it from Taylor Ford. Taylor Ford gave me a price of $2900 for a replacement Factory Clutch when I got the Spec Stage 2 for $550 CDN a few months ago. And $600 to replace the Tail lights and 3rd brake light last year when I was able to get a pair of Tail Lights from American Muscle for $69. and an LED Smoked 3rd Brake light for $70.In the end the part that has that gasket was never exposed in the transplant. The gasket that seals intake to heads will only set me back $30.00. And they wonder why most of us use mostly aftermarket parts.

Yes and many wonder why we buy from the US.
Even with the exchange rate, shipping and duties we save money.
Just means the Canadian companies are putting big mark ups on products.

Just got back from the shop. Donor engine is in place but when swapping BULLITT Intake Manifold onto donor engine discovered that an EGR Pipe needed to be replaced. Because it was a limited production model , part will arrive next Thursday. Also he will install a new water pump on the Donor Engine. He said almost everything on the Donor engine was different right down to the Dipstick. So dipstick , valve covers , Oil pan , as well as Intake and exhaust manifolds and drive pulleys were swapped.

They are doing it right and my car will be ready for several years of trouble free driving when I get it back.

The Sussex Balloon Fiesta Car Show is Sunday September 11th and following weekend the show at Steele. I plan on attending both.
