Maritime mini runs.

Doing well here in Western NS. Been out all weekend on runs to new and off the main road places in the area. Most of the rivers are dry for the photos I am getting but the colors are starting to pop. Bit of frost on the cars this AM but gone by 10:00 Just came back from Digby for an early Tim's run and photo op overlooking the town and the Annapolis Basin. Postcard perfect day.

Out for an hour earlier. Cool day here. Long range sounds like topless Thursday!
Topless Thursday in my town I might pass on. BTW if anyone watches CBC Still Standing our town, Bear River NS is the location tomorrow night (13 Oct 8 PM). Cap-Pelé, N.B. (Nov 17) and a couple of NL towns in the mix. Funny show about small towns in Canada hanging on.

Took the River Rd to Mexico a few weeks back.... first in a Jag XK, then back with mine.... some fun little side roads in that area!

Well, didn’t get out.
My son left for St-John for new job starting tomorrow morning with Francophone south school district.
He left a bit late. Didn’t want to go before him.
He’s been home since Covid started.
Then threW ball for dog a few times.

Decided to lube tractor and snow blower.
Checked air in tires.
Get ready for what’s around the corner and put away in shed.
All ready.

Still nice afternoon outside.

Time is flying. Really enjoy the summer runs and the forum conversations. Got looking back at the runs this summer and every one of them was great. Never thought I would plan a 3 day trip through NB to pick up brake parts but it was awesome over the Labor Day weekend. Timely, as we talk about a NB run. Had lots of river side driving. Also a fan of ocean side driving so I am sure whatever route is picked will be cool. This is not a suggested route. Just noting my NB trip last month with some thumbnails of pics along the way instead of large image posts.

Stayed off the main highway most of the way. From home near Digby to Moncton (Rossano's Saturday night for the cruise - with samples). Caught the elusive Mustang II.

Sunday through Rogersville, then the 108 to Plaster Rock (not a lot to see along that stretch but was nice). To Grand Falls, Saint Leonard which was my main destination. Headed back to Fredericton via Florenceville-Bristol on the old road 105. Stopped at Shogomoc train railway site then of course - Hartland on the way.

Left Monday AM down the old roads to Patrick Owens Covered Bridge on the way to Fredericton Junction. Then Blissville for a shot on a regular bridge. Then the Smyth covered bridge in Hoyt. Old road down through Grand Bay-Westfield. Cross town to Darlings Island and from there to return home. Whew.
