Another side trip that is very worthwhile is to the Gilmore Museum in central Michigan.
Its effectively 7 museums in one, with everything from Muscle cars, to Auburns, to Franklins and Model As.
It’s actually one of the largest museums in NA with 450 vehicles on display.
Inside the grounds a lot of the buildings are designed to look like barns, with others to look like old dealerships.
The Ford Dealership is actually the museum of the Model A Club of America.
I talked very nicely to them and they even let me bring the mustang inside the museum to take photos in front of the diner, garage etc.
Also on Wed evenings they have a weekly cruise in, 870 vehicles turned up on the day we visited, more than a thousand the week before.
