I was tempted to do that trans cooler brace a couple years ago but literature led me to believe it did not fit my car. Literature seemed explicit too. I did the BMR K-member brace instead, which fits in the same spot. I knew the trans cooler would fit the K-member but interpreted that there would be clearance issues with the different tranny than the 2011 and up cars. After buying the Boss strut brace that did not fit under my hood I guess I was nervous to try the trans cooler without being sure. To this day, I'm still not sure it would fit my car.

I'm anticipating the Motive gears to be noisy. The vendor warned me they will be. Even if they are quiet by Motive standards, they likely will be noisier than Ford Racing. It's the way they are cut.
For me, it was the only way to get the 3.90 ratio which I want to try.
Ford Racing does not make the 3.90 ratio.
I was not ready to jump to 4.10's. I'm searching for sweet spot for road course and driveability with my ported heads and Ford Racing intake manifold.
3.73's lost some low end with the new manifold but great mid and upper range on highway and secondary roads.
Looking for a little extra to dig out of turns but still want decent legs for long straits. Don't want to run out of gear in fourth. On the track, you don't want to use fifth gear.

I try to match or better that car with some old school hot rod vibe.

The trans cooler brace is described as definitely not fitting my car and yet it fits better on my car than the Gt's and bosses in my opinion. Doesn't block the oil drain plug and bolts right on. I also have the Steeda Gtrac brace between the swing arm mounts.
 
Thanks for the info. I'll have to consider that trans cooler. I have the BMR equivalent to the Gtrac between the A arm pivot points. So my mounting points for the cooler are still available.
Have you seen the cooler installed on a 05 to 09 with manual transmission?
 
No, I haven't seen it mounted on an 05-09. I may have one of those in my garage in the next few weeks and may get a chance to try it for fit. Will let you know what I find out.
