Yeah should be out cruising around and catching up to you guys by July, hopefully ?? Lol
And you can add another 10-12 inches on top of those banks since photo taken...
Looking forward to a few track days this year.
Highly recommend for anyone who wishes to
improve their driving skills and also great if you get
that need for speed. Safe environment to learn,
instructors are top quality, great way to learn.
sounds like a load of fun! unfortunately, my choice of a convertible ride does put me on the sideline ... for now Maximum Motorsports does a rollbar for my years, only behind the front seats... I NEED IT.... one day lol. got to make an upgrade priority list lol !!
Saw a mean sounding Fox Mustang with the engine shut off switch on back bumper in Dieppe coming back from lunch today. He would break the rear tires loose at 30 KPH, gave him a big thumbs up at next light. :FordSmile
I know the calendar says it's spring today , but that salt and sand makes it nasty. I seen 3 S197 GT's , and 2 S550's and a brand new camaro today , all looked too good to be driving today
Racing season pretty much over and daughter's boyfriend (yep same one that got Phil back on the road a few years back with his Bimmer) did quite good coming out of it with a first place in three different categories. He races his new sled and also races that vintage Polaris that goes like hell (something like 115 mph in 600 feet or so) with another guy from that crew. With that one they had a hard time keeping pistons intact all season except yesterday where they got the tuning dead on so they won most of there races making for a pretty good day. Amazing the amount of time and money that some (the pros not us) poor into that sport but get pretty much nothing in return other than bragging rights..... ah well interesting stuff that gives the old man here something to do during the winter blues until spring and cars come back out....lol
Use to go watch those all the time when we had sleds. They are fun to watch. Had our daughters hockey provincials In Woodstock this past weekend. One of the sets of parents went to watch races in between the games. He said they were food. Where were these races at?
These ones were held in Tide Head/Glencoe N.B. just outside of town here. But some are held all over the place as I know they went to Matane & New Richmond in Quebec and some coming up in Madawaska next week I believe. The biggest was held in Eel River Crossing N.B. with sleds coming from Montreal / Quebec and the States worth up to $80 000 - $100 00 and making upwards of 700 - 800 hp if not more?? And you are right it is not about the money as top prize was $4 000.............
