Every year we put together shoeboxes for the Halifax Missions to Seafarers so they can give them out to seafarers who deliver cargo to Halifax from November to January. Special thanks to Jackie Mrs 05 gt spd who knitted 10 hats for the cause. If you’re interested more information can be found here.

Well the topic of using an Apple airtag to track / steal cars seems to be getting a lot more attention. Google news "airtag car theft". Technology for good vs evil never ends. I may need to put a tag in so I can counter track my car if someone puts a tag in it to steal it...

Reports of this all over national news.
CTV aired one couple nights ago.
In GTA, they are targeting high end cars with this.
Higher than Mustangs. Europeans!
Tag allows them to follow to owner’s address at night after everyone sleeping.
And, in those residential neighbourhoods, they have more quiet time to work on stealing the car.
Sadly part of new reality.
They can even tuck it in the bumper of a car. Little dab of silicone, or chewing gum, to keep it there.
Valet doesn’t affect our neck of woods to much.
Never valet’ed a car yet and don’t think I ever will.
Car always in garage at home.

cause if I catch them, they will want to call 911,

Watched F-1 today, 2nd last race of season
first time in Saudi Arabi, crazy fast track.
more safety cars, red flags and events,
then I have every seen in F-1
not sure if entertaining or crazy is right word.
Hamilton won in the end, so him and Verstrappen
tied, going into last race, so should be good finish
next week.

It was crazy.
Bad combination being fast track, one of the fastest they said, but also narrow and lined everywhere by barriers and fencing, like a street course, full of blind corners.
Only Monaco is narrower but not nearly as fast.
Monaco is parade laps compared to this circuit.
Blame game going on where Hamilton rear ended Verstappen after race director ordered Red Bull to give back spot for going off track to get in previous lap.
Verstappen was slowing down to give spot back and Hamilton says he didn’t know what was going on so he hesitated to go by, causing him to hit back of Verstappen’s car.
This despite video replay clearly letting us hear Hamilton downshifting as much as Verstappen to match his speed.
Somehow Hamilton and Mercedes blamed that on Verstappen saying he brake checked them.
Maybe I like underdogs, but Hamilton is arguably best driver on the planet.
He should not have put himself in that position.
There was space to go around to the left.
He should have taken it instead of sniffing the exhaust from Verstappen’s car.
The onus is up to the car coming from behind to avoid the car in front, like on public streets.
Mercedes said they didn’t have time to tell Hamilton what was going on.
There was no evidence that Verstappen brake checked.
To me, looked more like a confused Hamilton.
Anyway, I thought Mercedes camp were a bit whinny and feeble on that one.
I hope last race is clean.
Yah! I’ll say it. I’ll be cheering for Verstappen.
I think it’s good for any sport to have different champions.

Angie was born downtown and grew up in Spryfield. If she catches someone stealing one of our cars I’ll just have to clean up the mess she leaves
