Thought of the day.

Here's a shot of me skiing last winter. We're a little over dressed because it was cold and blistery in that open field.
It was like -18 with wind chill of -28 or something like that.
It's myself, followed by my son and then my baby sister.
Just playing around for a photographer that needed promo shots.
It's a great sport. A sport for life. No impact and very high aerobic and muscular demand.
A reason why Scandinavians live long and healthy lives. _DSC6437.jpg

PEI started grooming some trails in the National Park in the mid 70's and I did a fair bit of xcounry back then. I still have my skis somewhere and there's probably some klister buried somewheres as well

I need to go and get gas for the snowblower. The one thing I forgot to check when I got it out lol. Oh well gives me an excuse to head to Tims which is right across the street.

very light here so far, looks like afternoon its coming hard.
Here with rain to follow, lovely mess LOL.
Looks like long day ahead, let the game begin LOL.

Schools are now cancelled here. They went up until noon for some reason. Just enough time in class to let the roads get really snow packed and slippery lol.

Driving to Truro around lunchtime and watching all the AWD or 4x4 pass me on the very snow covred passing lane when I was doing 100 km/h on clear pavement reminded me of a story I read in Car & Driver about the Quattro rally team. When they first came out with the Quattro Audi wanted to sign a particular driver for their team and let him test the new top secret rally car. He drove it hard on different surfaces and at the end of testing said 2 things. Firstly he would be happy to sign with Audi and secondly you could still go off the road in this car but when you did you would go further into the woods than with any other rally car. There's a lesson in there for some of these guys

Snow up here too !!!

So with not much on the agenda just finished watching back to back documentaries on the Province of Nova-Scotia and its landscapes. Well gotta say you fellas down there have one heck of a nice piece of land !!! The part about Cape Breton brought back lots of good memories from our trip around the Cabot Trail and if the other end of the Province (one coming up next on next Fall Run) is anything like I've seen on T.V. well I can't wait to do that trip as well.......

I have been exceptionally happy with my new drive way until today. It's wider with a bigger side parking area. It's great for getting two cars side by side. Got rid of the low spot by the walk. All good until today. Have the carry the dam snow farther. A first world problem, LOL.

Anyone want to find a donate a weather person to me, SO I can beat them with a stick or shovel.
Won't change anything, but I would feel better.
