Thought of the day.

hopefully he can sell it something.
Sad to see it end, Shipwright is correct lots of good resources
on there.

Its like running a small business, you can't really let someone else run it. You risk not having your interests at heart.

No Title

This is what I was thinking about today lol.

From what I understand buddy sold his Mustang a few years ago and planned to get another one but life happened in the mean time.

Sad, it was a nice forum and would've been way nicer with just a bit of work. Actually, they were supposed to come out with a big revamp of the place around the same time we started working on this forum.

Went for an early morning spin.
Took a few pic's, stopped at Robie street Tim's for a coffee.
Standing at counter, I look out and see cop car and an officer
going around the car, first thing I think is tint and here we go.
I stay inside, hoping they will go away LOL.

Nope he comes in looking for me, shit!!!
Well no worries, he just wanted to ask a bunch of questions :)
He did ask how fast it would go, I said I couldn't answer that,
he started laughing :)

Cool! A lot of them are into cars, like the rest of the population.
He's obviously not hard core if he had to ask.
You're answer was coy, and a good one.
You might have also taken the opportunity to educate him a little by telling him the car is not just about speed.
It's equal parts handling, braking and speed, with a beautiful sound track and high revving engine that pulls to redline.
All the ingredients to put a smile on any driver's face.
Then some of them are real car guys.
I'll never forget my first track instructor, at a Track Guy's HPDE.
He was a police officer in Peoria, Illinois. A great guy.
At the end of the day, like the rest of us, they have a job to do.

You're lucky to still have the opportunity to go for a run of any kind.
My car's been put away since thanksgiving.
Temperatures cold and roads too dirty up here by now.
We've already seen snow.
Big difference between northern N.B. and you guys' weather.
I travelled to Church Point on Tuesday.
Left here as it was snowing.
By Wednesday afternoon, going through Truro, it was partly sunny and hitting 12 degrees.
Apples still on trees in the Valley and all...
I can't say I didn't entertain the thought of relocating...

Not sure if anyone has been watching or even paying attention.
But game 7 of world series, which to me is cool in any sport.
For these two teams history will be made out of the pure fact it
has been so long since either team has won.
I will be doing some channel flipping tonight to keep an eye on game.

Yes, I've been keeping an eye on it. My daughter played Elite fast-pitch softball in her teens and high school.
We used to watch a bit of MLB together. It was as close to her sport as we could readily get on TV.
Since the Jays were knocked out I've been silently hoping for the Cubs.
It's been the longest for them without a championship.
And Cleveland, after all, is the city that knocked the Raptors out of NBA playoffs.
I consider it a bit of a patriotic duty to hate on them a bit.
I'll be flipping channels too.

Starting to get some mixed precipitation in the forecasts now. The hot and sunny summer is now officially a memory lol.
